The firm resolve position…
1) #Putin cannot be Rewarded

2) #Putin and the #Troops he committed MUST BE EXPELLED from the Lands they are holding they acquired via unprovoked invasion.

 

FACTS FROM THE PAST:

The #BuadapestAccord position DICTATES that we honor our obligations (#Clinton got us into, and since #Putin / #Russia broke that agreement that Ukraine agree to give up its Nukes in order for FULL SOVEREIGNITY and assurance Russia would bother them NO MORE and The West was to BACK THAT BY FORCE if need be) that we send #Troops (we, #USA, and #NATO as that agreement made #Ukraine #NATO without officially being signature to) to do just that EXPEL THE INVADERS.

 

When RUSSIA (and via in part through puppet State Belarus) ROLLED IN, Clinton was gone, GWBush was gone, obaMAO completely ignored any and all obligation WEST was committed to under BudapestAccord BUT SO TOO DID EUROPEAN LEADERS at that time (the West was NOT really ALLIED, but Europe a WHAT IS US GONNA DO and we’ll take part but WE WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING acting as our own Sovereign Nation decision making process (as Rick details in our discussion in RUMBLE Video embed below)) - when potential early ACTIONS may have been able to stop the years then of ongoing SLAUGHTER til now.

 

THE HARD, COLD, CURRENT, BAD OPTIONS #REALITY, HOWEVER, DEMANDS:

Do we want now after all these years of FAILING to respond as prior assured we would (respond THEN, before things got to this point, before when a Quick Response and showing resolve may have gotten Putin to back down early – BUT NOW) RISK full escalation to WWIII?!?!? and all the Death and Destruction (I do not want to send US Kids to die in Ukraine, despite agreement been made that we would/should do so) across many more Borders would entail?!?!

 

That would NOT BE IDEAL (to put mildly) so #REALITY (of ALL BAD OPTIONS now) demands we are now all in a NO WIN POSITION and if any #PEACE (short, medium, longer, terms) remotely possible that a #LandForPeace exchange the only workable deal.

 

Again, the alternative, FULL ON, ALL OUT, WAR between European/USA Nations and Russia (as well as their puppet Belarus, and potentially escalate in China and most certainly North Korean troops and the uncertainly of KIM JUNG UN now with Nukes as he already sent troops and hardware in support of Putin (Putin, not Russia, the Russian PEOPLES did not do this, are not our Enemy, PUTIN did, PUTIN is the enemy/threat)).

 

I, you, WE, do not have to LIKE this Reality of BAD CHOICES/OPTIONS, but I, you, WE ALL, have to DEAL with those ALL BAD OPTIONS of current REALITY (past obligations ignored, reality of NOW and HOW do we PROCEED).

 

As attempted to deal in discussion of all the GOOD, BAD, really UGLY, options in…

 

So, here we are, the lessor of the BAD OPTIONS, trying to move forward with making a workable DEAL with #EVIL (#Putin is Evil, but he is NOT STUPID), Z is corrupt but did NOT start this #War and it is NOT ABOUT HIM but the #Ukrainian People that CLINTON obligated us to support should they (and they did) give up their Nukes in the waining days of the 90′s decade, we are SUPPOSED to be people of our word and meet our obligations, MUST DEAL IN ALL THESE BAD OPTIONS and CORNER now in!!! 

 

Next #Zelensky and #Putin (to 2 Leaders of the Nations AT WAR) must meet to work toward DETAILS (#DEVIL is in the DETAILS), nothing matters, all currently is posturing and positioning, UNTIL and UNLESS we can get to (as soon as possible) where Z and Putin are sitting in neutral ground like Switzerland to SIGN a #PeaceAgreement, it could all breakdown and fall apart – as Putin has BROKEN every prior minor-substep-agreements (The big one being #BudapestAccord (that made Ukraine defacto NATO without official signature to) break that started all this, cease-fires broken, attacking CIVILIAN not MILITARY targets; how about we AGREE to not try to drag Vlad before a Military Tribunal for #WarCrimes in exchange for #PEACE as part of all this then) to date. Until there is hopefully a #DMZ and #EU troops to assure that the DMZ shall not be breached w/o a physical trip-wire of TROOPS to assure beyond just a PAPER (#NevilleChamerlain “Peace in our Times” worthless inked no teeth really to back it enforced thing). Nothing really changes.

 

WHAT FOLLOWS IS EMAIL I SENT RICK last night before heading to Bed:

Just saw on #NEWSMAX a Congressman, forget which one, say part of any settlement and #PeaceDeal between #Russia and #Ukraine should include a #DMZ like between North and South #Korea.

 

Damn, I had that in my NOTES to bring up during our discussion but somehow that got passed-over and went unmentioned in the fluid exchange and so many POINTS to have to deal with.

 

That would be a VERY HELPFUL safety valve and “good faith” move for #Putin to agree to/with IF he really, intends, NO FUTURE AGGRESSION, no further incursions (wants to STOP SENDING RUSSIAN CHILDREN TO DIE over land grab desires (his OFFENSIVE War)) into #Ukrainian territories (cuz, frankly, WHY should we believe anything he SAYS NOW when he’s broken any/all related agreements going back to original #BudapestAccords that #RUSSIA agreed to HONOR #UKRAINE SOVEREIGNTY, broken, all the various cease-fires, broken, etc…

Remember the STING song: Let’s hope the Russians LOVE their Children too. The Hope, the Prayer, that WWIII would be avoided that they don’t want their Kids dying in War and/or potentially ALL VAPORIZED if MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) of Nuclear exchange could AVOID (they LOVE their Children, more than WANT WAR). Well, the Russians DO LOVE THEIR CHILDREN, but their Leader DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN about their Citizen’s Children nor others’ as sent ONE MILLION TO DATE to SLAUGHTER for this land grab. That is the WHO (Evil) we are trying, rather FORCED, deal with (and that has to be remembered going forward), everything, every detail, must be TRUST BUT VERIFY and have not just PAPER ASSURANCES but BOOTS ON GROUND counter and assured IMMEDIATE COUNTER BY MASSIVE AND OVER-WHELMING FORCE RESPONSE, guarantees.

 

There NEEDS to be a DMZ as indeed a SAFE SPACE  (ours, Ukraine’s, and even Russian’s Children’s protections) and avoidance of DIRECT INTERACTION OF ANY/ALL UKRAINE AND RUSSIAN TROOPS IN NEAR FUTURE like sadly led to ISSUES between India and Pakistan as they are NOSE TO NOSE and TOE TO TOE (no DMZ) with the continued #Kashmire Region dispute.

 

LEARN, a DMZ is needed between Russia and Ukraine coming out of this process. Like was necessary for PEACE that has held so far between N and S Korea.

Also the Congressman expressed better complete thoughts about ON UKRAINE SOIL tripwire forces to assure Security deterrence (an Article-V like situation, that would NOT be NATO Article-V full and all NATO Nations response entanglement). With a DMZ, beyond that, could be EU tripwire forces, NOT NATO (though, yes, technically mostly one and the same, but again maintains goal of NO OFFICIAL ENTRY INTO NATO for Ukraine), and sure the Hell NOT the Blue Helmet (AntiSemite, tend toward ProCommunist feckless proven worthless already everywhere else) UN (comprised of just STIFFS that FOLD at first sign of actual actions and response needed) morons.

As we both agree, EUROPE must STEP UP and be MORE RESPONSIBLE for their own Defense (assert a semblance of any own Sovereignity again), and this would be step toward that – NO OFFICIAL PRESENCE by USA but UNOFFICIAL USA backstops everything all else fails (LAST RESORT).

 

Europe MUST step up for these front-lines for their overall Defense concerns. The USA cannot be POLICEMAN for the entire World – others MUST STEP UP. If THEY show some back-bone, assert some real commitment beyond PAPER TIGER threat. Only thing that can/will really DETER any future and THIRD aggression of Putin further into Ukraine.

And as we both agree, again, EUROPE must become LESS RELIANT on USA as their FALL GUY that allows them to continue to COAST. And TRUMP demanding the 5% rather than 2% is step toward that, but I agree with you it is NOT REALLY doing that if it just means they’re gonna solely buy US stuff. All Nations, at least the key major ones, MUST start to begin building their OWN armaments (even if that means WE short term help them build plants to manufacture US designed Tanks at least rather than USA have to produce everything and LIMITATIONS ON SPEEDY PRODUCTION choke point) and not be dependent on USA or even any other ALLY in the Alliance.

 

Any and EVERY NATION must be prepared to HOLD ITS OWN for awhile to hold back IF another BLITZKRIEG type Warfare offensive occur. MUST HOLD to allow time for the other Nations to STAGE, come together, develop strategy, to engage IF Article-V does need trigger and NOT most of Europe already be ROLLED OVER when it gets triggered (as Chamberlain agreement created in WWII).

 

Europe Nations MUST build up Troop levels, so USA can DRAW DOWN (and too Canada and Australian, off Continent, obligations return more to LAST RESORT BACK-STOP) some FOB forces yet still retain tripwire assurance. 

 

Real tripwires. Real commitment. REAL RESISTANCE assured! Not, reality that all is JUST LET RUSSIA ROLL until USA/CANADA/AUSTRAILIAN off Continent forces can/do COME IN and West already behind the 8-ball on the back foot.

 

THESE ARE HARD, NO-ONE LIKES, BUT MUST DEAL IN, REALITIES!!!! IF the NATO agreement (the NATO deterrence) is to BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY going forward!!!!

COLD, HARSH, assure IMMEDIATE RESPONSES, if there is a NEXT TIME, NOT let things stir, simmer, get WORSE, before REACTING! As NATO is, always has been, DEFENSIVE PACT; despite propaganda PRO PUTIN narratives otherwise.
