REMEMBER, as discussed on ChristiTutionalist podcast all the time, there is more to MATTHEW 7 than just the first 7 words – it really (IN CONTEXT with other Scriptures): “CONDEMN NOT, LEST YE BE CONDEMNED – FOR FINAL JUDGEMENT IS FOR THE LORD!”
There are PLENTY of folks (Left or Right) that I am NOT FOND OF would NOT ASSOCIATE WITH but (as asked: LOVE EVEN OUR ENEMIES, Pray for their conversion) do not, would not ever, CALL for their death nor revel in their passing.
REMEMBER, and I’ve spoken to this a few times on CTP and other Shows I’ve appeared on (and including WAAMradio) the “if you could go back in time, would you KILL baby Hitler?!?!” thought experiment. BE CAREFUL how you answer. There is a REASON we generally do not MURDER HEADS OF STATE (yes, some exceptions) but the reason WE DO NOT is that THINGS COULD BE WORSE!! Killing Hitler even say following WWI so he could NOT come to Power as FUHRER of the Third Reich WOULD NOT LIKELY HAVE STOPPED the NSDAP from coming to Power in Germany (for a myriad of reasons) nor AVOIDED WWII. What it MIGHT HAVE DONE was turn the many Millions in deaths into TWICE, TRIPLE, QUADRUPLE, the numbers of those deaths and maybe even overturned the outcome of that War entirely. Had Himmler or another higher up NAZI been the one become Fuhrer THEY MAY NOT HAVE MADE THE MISTAKES that Adolph did – changing everything FOR POTENTIALLY WORSE! THINK ABOUT THAT the NEXT TIME that thought experiment is asked of you for a more THOUGHTFUL not EMOTIONAL knee-jerk response answer!!!
For example, just for sake of argument – what if Fuhrer Himmler would have GONE INTO FINLAND to DEPOSE THE SOVIETS that invaded there to help liberate that Nation? The WEST might have APPLAUDED. The WEST might have then GREEN LIT Germany/NAZIs going into/through Poland to get at the Soviets (rather than Germany and Russia agreeing (at first) to CARVE UP AND SHARE POLAND rolling in simultaneously from east and west)?!?!? Again, there is a REASON these are THOUGHT EXPERIMENTS and ONE CANNOT PROVE a SUPPOSITION or ALTERNATE TIMELINE potential one way or another!!!
