Monaco is home to some of the world’s most expensive residences, but the European Principality recently set a new world record for the most expensive residential transaction ever recorded. System Capital Management (SCM), a holding company owned by Ukraine’s richest man, Rinat Akhmetov, acquired a 21-room penthouse in the Le Renzo building for over $500 million.
The world’s most expensive apartment is spread over five floors and covers an area of over 26,900 square feet at the top of an exclusive building right on Monaco’s waterfront, offering stunning views of the sea.
