The Media is Ubiquitous Now. What isn't Coming at You thru The Usual Mediums is Coming at You in Invisible Waves.

Everything in life responds to a sense of touch. That is why the most important quality in statesmanship or governing is diplomacy. One might say diplomacy is a kind of invisible touch. It is similar to bonhomie concealing a power move… when someone grabs your elbow when they shake your hand. I’m talking about the subtle moves in life that have a great deal to do with the appearance of control.

Everything in life these days is about perception. That is because media is ubiquitous, and what isn’t coming at you through the usual mediums is coming at you in invisible waves. I’m saying… I seem to be always saying… what you see is not what you get, and there are all kinds of caveat emptor.

Life is a circling series of stages that get smaller… as they retreat into the distance of secondary markets. The Comedy Club in Boise does not have the same cachet as the one in New York or LA. Still… it is more upscale than the one in Pago Pago; if Pago Pago has a comedy club. I actually just went and checked. I couldn’t find one. I did find a Yacht Club.

So… The Al Smith Dinner last night was one of those exclusive… closer to life’s biggest stage events, and… Kamala did not attend. Were you wondering what life’s biggest stage is… the one that The Al Smith Dinner is closer to? Well… that’s a hard call. When it comes to a gathering of celebrities, it’s like The Met Gala, so… maybe The Biggest Stage is a movable feast… sometimes it’s here and sometimes it’s there, and… you have to look out for the Spiritual Ptomaine that’s always present at functions like that. You can get a chronic and contagious salmonella that is like Herpes.

At the really big functions… you get the higher-ranking demons. Some of them arrive via their physical vehicle, which is whoever the celebrity is that agreed to the arrangement, and otherwise, they shadow the event. They hang out in the corners or… the curtains, if there are any curtains. Chucky Schumer is an example of one whose demon is in residence… in situ? Possibly. Some of them have been possessed since the moment the first fallen angel hit Terra not so firma.

All the big dignitaries have their demonic handlers these days because the demons can’t hang out with the powers and principalities in high places anymore; not since The Avatar has been driving them into manifest states. You can expect this in any time of advanced materialism because… the exclusive zones attract high-ranking demons… the way shit attracts flies. You can be pretty sure Beelzebub will be around. Isn’t he The Lord of the Flies?

Most of the time… most of the people… who are all confined within specific parameters of bandwidth… cannot see demons or angels. You need to be in a heightened state. Certain comestibles can cause this… certain spiritual practices can cause it, and chemical reactions in the brain can cause it too. I’ve had all three.

Crazy people have a closer relationship with out-of-wack chemistry and it is why they see things. Just because you can’t see something does not mean it isn’t there. You need to have your other senses activated. I’ve had that happen at various times from various causes, so… I can attest to having seen things. (eerie music begins to play)

Yeah… those preening celebrities like to gather, as if they were exotic animals at an exclusive watering hole, which… I guess they are… aren’t they? It reminds me of that tale by Poe; the Masque of The Red Death. Something unseen and mysterious moves among the celebrities, and… they go missing in smaller numbers, and get replaced. I don’t see any of the name players that were around when I was young. They went somewhere, and… for all we know… they might well be back already.

What we see of the celebrity life is not what the celebrities see. They know each other in a more intimate sense, but probably not in any deeper sense because they are not real people. They are in show business after all. They dance and prance like show ponies. Sometimes… when their sell-by date has passed, they get put out to pasture, sometimes they are interred in the pasture, and sometimes… they go to the glue factory or the dog food industry.

Celebrities are like Shylock in a way. If you prick them they bleed, but they don’t think of themselves as being like other people. They are spechul. So… there are the celebrities of The World and then there are the celebrities that are not of The World. Still… the latter are no lesser celebrities than the former.

They have considerably more staying power, and… they are real stars that generate their own light. The other stars only have lights bouncing off of them. They are reflectors of light. If it goes dark where they are, it stays dark… until one of those other celebrities I was talking about appears; like The Sun. The Sun is one of those celebrities. The Sun is a real celebrity. When The Sun walks into a room, you know it.

Why people try so hard to meet the temporary celebrities… when they can… more easily… meet enduring celebrities… is more than I can understand. I have spoken to The Sun. I have had actual conversations with The Sun, and he is just as you would expect him to be; joyful and radiant… bigger than life… way… way bigger than life. He is filled with optimism, as you might expect, and he only sees the good in people. He doesn’t permit himself to see anything else because that would dim his light and he knows this.

The Sun is an actual living personality. This I have had first-hand evidence of, and it matters not to me whether anyone believes it or not because… what would I care about that? How would that make any difference? It’s like telling someone about the time you spent in Laguna Beach and some stuffed shirt starts telling you, you were never in Laguna Beach, and then you start telling them about all these locations that are present there. Then what happens? They find something else to annoy you with. You can wind up feeling like a Republican at a news conference.

Well… it’s the same thing about those invisible celebrities. How would you know all these things about them? The interesting thing about invisible celebrities and invisible friends is… just because you can’t see them does not mean they are not there. I have several people of my acquaintance who will affirm that these invisible celebrities are quite real because of events that took place while they were visiting. They have a way of letting people know they are there.

To be in their company, all you have to do is be on their wavelength. For them to communicate with someone who is not on their wavelength… well… they can adjust to the needs of the moment… believe me on that account.

I am telling you about this because the time is soon to arrive when such sightings, and attendant experiences are going to become much more common. Count on it.

I just went to get another cup of tea and I saw my crystals on the kitchen counter. I hold one of them in my hand when I take a nap in the afternoon and one I use at night. I usually put them in The Sun to charge up, and… so I went outside. The Sun was behind a large bank of clouds and it’s still quite cool and is supposed to be all day. So… I set the crystals down on the rim of the gas firepit (which we never use) and as I was speaking the words I usually speak, The Sun shined right through the clouds… somehow… and I heard him say, “So, you’ve been talking about me.” We had a laugh about that and I came back inside.

This sort of thing happens to me several times a day because that is The World I live in. I do not live in a world of temporal celebrity, but I do live in The World of More Enduring Celebrities. In an earlier period of life… over some years… I met a lot of celebrities of both kinds, visible and invisible. The visible celebrities are generally of two types. There are those who are genuinely decent people… who were famous due to an abundance of talent… where karma interfaced with and accounted for their higher profile. There are much fewer of these.

Then there are the other kind… who are much more numerous and are often famous because of their ruthless… driving and vain personalities. It’s also a feature of karma, of course. These people are no fun to be around, and to me… they are fully transparent. So… I’m glad I was not present at the Al Smith dinner. Al Smith was a political celebrity of his time. Now he is a dead celebrity, at least in that role, and they have what amounts to a wake in his honor at regular intervals. It’s a Catholic thing and they are big on wakes. Waking up is another matter.

The more enduring celebrities are not dead. They shine on, and on… and on. You are a reflection of the company you keep, and the company you keep is drawn to you by the quality of your nature. Whatever you wish to attract… you need to put out the right bait. Sometimes you are the bait. Yeah… it’s not just about touch. It’s also about smell; metaphorically and allegorically speaking, and…

…one last thing.
