The first release of the Epstein files by the DOJ contained court records that show Jeffrey Epstein sued the now infamous Ponzi schemer, Attorney Scott W. Rothstein, in matters involving an “extensive in-house private investigative team including former F.B.I. and C.I.A. agents whose singular task was to obtain compromising evidence against high-profile putative defendants”.

In 2009, award-winning news reporter Timothy Charles Holmseth contacted the FBI (Holmseth was interviewed in 2010) after learning that a group of FBI, CIA, rogue attorneys and others, were planting evidence in the national profile child kidnapping case of HaLeigh Cummings in Florida.

Holmseth was told by licensed private investigator and bail bondsman William E. Staubs (aka Cobra the Bounty Hunter) that he (Staubs) worked with the FBI and other federal agencies of HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas). Staubs told Holmseth he was the “chief investigator” for a team that was searching for the missing child HaLeigh Cummings. Staubs told Holmseth he was working with an attorney and, he said, that attorney told him they had 10 more cases just like this one lined up.

Holmseth quickly realized he was dealing with a Kidnapping Inc.

Staubs also told Holmseth he met in private with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Staubs was arrested in 2009 for the planned kidnapping of a man (Daniel Everett Snodgrass) the team was attempting to frame for HaLeigh’s disappearance – whereupon Staubs began revealing secrets of the group and how their operations were funded.

“Let me tell you what the secret is behind all this brother. An oil company. A huge ass profitable [biofuel company],” Staubs told Holmseth. The biofuel company was called Alternative Biofuel Technologies Inc (ABT) run by Michael Picazio – a convicted felon thief and conman from Broward County, Florida. The company would later appear in the FBI’s record of seized inventory during the Scott W. Rothstein RICO investigation.

Holmseth learned through tape recordings he received from Staubs, that Michael Picazio was working with Jeremiah Regan, the son of an FBI agent named John Regan (who turned out to be one-in-the-same as FBI agent Bob Hamer (of Oprah, Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Fox & Friends fame). During the recorded phone call containing the voice of Jeremiah Regan – Jeremiah Regan was clearly angry regarding a financial situation that involved $150,000 that had been invested in ABT – and $231 Million that had been “promised”.

The $150,000 being discussed during the recording was cash-flow that came from John and Maria Burgun, Plantation, Florida. Court records available online show John and Marie Burgun later sued Michael Picazio. The Articles of Incorporation show the Director of ABT was originally Michael Picazio, but in 2010, when ABT was dissolved, John Burgun was the President.

The $150,000 from John and Maria Burgun paid to Michael Picazio appears to be money cloaked as ‘start-up’ money for ABT – but in reality, the money was being used to fund a business model surrounding the missing child HaLeigh Cummings which included The HaLeigh Bug Foundation, a building called the “Haleigh Bug Center” – and a website called haleighbug.com.

Holmseth later learned, and revealed in his book “In Re: HaLeigh Cummings – The Shocking Truth Revealed” that there was an attempt to STAGE the RETURN of HaLeigh at the HaLeigh Bug Center (an event that would have promoted the HaLeigh Cummings brand) that resulted in a violent confrontation, police, ambulance, and a car that was driven by Jeremiah Regan and several passengers. The car was later hidden by Michael Picazio after the event (a hiding place known to Maria Burgun).

Holmseth learned through his extensive interviews that the website called haleighbug.com was featuring a photograph on the homepage that showed HaLeigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, holding HaLeigh and HaLeigh’s little brother lovingly. However – the photo was FAKE and had been photoshopped because Sheffield, who was a drug addict and never paid child support to HaLeigh’s father who was raising her, didn’t have a single photo of herself with her daughter HaLeigh.

Holmseth reported the information to the FBI.

Holmseth reported the Photoshopped image was placed into the website by Ed Butera, President, ibi Designs, Boca Raton, Florida.

Holmseth subsequently learned during a recorded call between Staubs, Maria Burgun, and Holmseth, that under the guise of investing in ABT, John and Maria Burgun not only funded the creation of the HaLeigh Bug Foundation, the HaLeigh Bug Center, and the haleighbug.com website, but they ALSO were working with Ed Butera at ibi Designs to build a website for ABT as well.

Holmseth spoke with Butera during a recorded call regarding the fraud being committed on the haleighbug.com website. Butera told Holmseth he had been given the photos from a third party. Butera said he simply created the website free-of-charge because he thought it was for a good cause and, he said, he thought he might get good promotion because an attorney he was working with was going to appear on Nancy Grace.
