“I’m just looking to see if one of your residents filed a report for claims of a stolen pistol from their home and also some night vision goggles at 300 Cotton Hall Road [in] Yemassee, South Carolina – it would have been under Lin Wood,” Koukounakis said, during her call to the Sheriff’s Office.
“The person published on his social media February 2 saying he did an inventory of all his firearms at Tomotley and all the firearms are registered and legal but he did note that a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum pistol was missing from his gun case cabinet in a gun room so I’m assuming he would have called February 2 or February 1,” Koukounakis said.
“I’m just wondering if he let the police know that this stuff is missing,” Koukounakis said.
“No, I don’t see anything,” Dispatch said.

“Okay I just got off the phone with my Yemassee officer and they don’t have anything,” Dispatch said.

Code § 23-31-215 / H.3594) requires owners to report a lost or stolen firearm, rifle, or shotgun to local law enforcement within 10 days of discovering the theft or loss.
