The entrenched power structure such as the one the Clans operate in perhaps functions as a decentralized “hive” rather than a vertical hierarchy. The “leader” represents the set of rules, ideologies that are central to their core belief system that justifies their existence.
Has the Alliance’s jamming strategy succeeded in fracturing their consensus and driving the structure into a state of chaotic self-preservation?

“Hardliners” and “Moderates” perhaps represent two competing survival strategies within the Clans’ collapsing system.
The “Hardliners”- the traditional, aggressive components of the ruling system; those dedicated to direct physical or ideological confrontation. Trump describes them as “losing BADLY on the battlefield” because their primary tool – “overt force” has been neutralized by the Alliance.
The “Moderates” represents the system’s attempt to adapt through negotiation, deception, or diplomatic theatre. They are “gaining respect” only in the sense that the failed ruling structure relies on them as a last ditch effort to salvage the system’s core power.
This statement serves as a declaration…
that the Alliance sees through the Clans’ final act of political theater, recognizing that both sides of the “internal conflict” are merely different masks worn by the same defeated enemy.

Complete control of what is deemed legitimate where the Clans are in a state of absolute quarantine — “Sealed up Tight”, trapped within their own collapsing system, unable to receive external support nor export their agenda.
