It can be difficult to understand why so many lies constantly circulate and are fully accepted in society today unless we understand one very important fact, which I’ll get to in a moment.

The Democratic National Convention has just ended and one speaker after another spread lies as though they were truth, often to the resounding cheers and applause of those in attendance. Many lies were repeated throughout the convention by numerous speakers, including many stated by Kamala Harris herself Thursday evening. Her lies are provably false but those who eagerly follow her and want her to be the next president of the USA see her lies as absolute truth.

Tucker Carlson discusses more of this for those interested with Jason Whitlock.[1] In short, Carlson states that Kamala is stating “the mirror image of truth” and that she is “the hallmark of evil.” Good points and one man coming to the world’s scene will be worse than that. But let’s focus on the reason why those lies are so eagerly accepted by many to most on the Left as provided in Scripture.

I watched a clip of a woman at the DNC who bragged about murdering through abortion her third child. She said she has two beautiful children and was pregnant with her third. Doctors told her the child would not live so her only sensible choice was to abort it. Then she blamed Donald Trump, saying he wants to take abortion away from women. He never said that. The most he has said is that abortion should be decided on by each individual state, that it should not be federal law.

However, no amount of pointing out the actual facts to this woman and others (apparently, at least 25 abortions were done free of charge on site at the DNC by Planned Parenthood), would help them see through their deceptive delusions. They believe they have embraced truth.

Many of us have come to realize that it is because of the acceptance of lies that it has become impossible to relate to or find common ground with those who have moved to the far Left realm. They traffic in lies. They embrace lies eagerly and to them, those lies are the truth. The problem of course is that the lies they’ve deliberately chosen to believe are not the truth. So, why do people so willingly embrace the lies and what, if anything, can be done to help those deceived by the lies they’ve embraced? Is it possible? The short answer is only by God’s grace.

The apostle Paul provides a very stark and clear truth for us regarding why so many in this day and age fully adopt one lie after another. It is stated in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12.

9 The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder, 10 and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. 11 For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, 12 in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.

In short, Paul tells us that the lead up to the arrival of the lawless one (the final man of sin or man of perdition; also known as the Antichrist), will be accompanied by literal works of Satan. This will include every kind of power, sign and false wonder. Notice also that this coming satanically empowered human being will have every wicked deception going for him that will target those who are perishing. They’re gullible due to their convictions that lies are truth.

In other words, global society will be overcome by every form of deception, lies and false works. But why? Simply put, to come to the point where they willingly believe the lie. Which lie? It will include the culminating lie that this coming lawless one is himself, God. Global society is being primed for that major global-altering introduction right now.

It is important to understand that all lies, deceptions and evil works will be directed against those who are perishing. Paul tells us in verse 12 that this allows God’s judgment to come to all people because they’ve continued to deny the truth and preferred to engage in, embrace and enjoy wicked deceptions instead.

If you’ve ever wondered why so many people in this world weren’t able to see the problems associated how C0V was handled, including the mask and other mandates, as well as the eager reception of the warp speed vax, it may very well have to do with the fact that too many people were ready to embrace the lies told to society because their fear of death overwhelmed them. I notice that even many Christians succumbed to the lies and are paying a very real personal price for it now.

These people were literally so afraid of dying from a disease that was really the flu rebranded, that they set all critical thinking aside (if they had it to begin with), and gladly received an injection they were originally told would keep them from getting C0V or passing it onto other people. This turned out to be completely false and many today who have had the two shots and booster(s), seem to always be sick with recurrent bouts of C0V (or “long C0V” which is really vaccine injuries to the immune system). It never dawns on them that they were lied to. Instead, they say, “Wow, imagine if I had not had the shots how much worse it would be!” Few seem to make any connection at all, even with the tremendous unexplained increase in sudden deaths, strokes, heart attacks and cancers that appear to be off the charts since the rollout of the injection.

But beyond C0V and everything connected with it, has society ever been at the point we are at today where men can now state and believe they are women and they’ll sue you if you don’t agree? What about young boys and girls who are taking puberty blockers and going through sex change operations to align themselves physically with the gender they now believe themselves to be?

Even a cursory glance through society showcases more and more mental illness. Whether it’s people who blame Israel (and “Joos”) for every ill in the world, transgender people siding with “Palestine,” to cheering for abortion, to wanting to protect pedophiles who are attracted to young children or the trans ideology, in each case, we watch as all vestiges of normalcy are replaced with insanity.

Are we seeing/living Paul’s description of society in real time now? It certainly seems that way and because God has given large segments of the population over to complete deception, it makes the Christian’s job that much more difficult in witnessing to the lost. Many who have embraced lies are being destroyed by those lies without seeing it at all. In fact, to them, actual truth is the biggest enemy and at all costs, they must violently reject anything that speaks against their worldview without ever realizing that their worldview is built completely on lies.

The saddest part is when these folks die, they will instantly understand what they believed while here was so abhorrently untruthful, because they will instantly see the actual truth. They will go through all eternity wishing for do-overs. Imagine the sorrow based on that alone, not to mention the torments of hell itself.

People today are becoming increasingly unhinged in their false beliefs. They are violent prone, pushing more violence against those whom they believe are the source of all problems in society with “dis/mal/misinformation.” They are actually starting to voice the idea of eliminating any and all people whose worldview stands opposed to the Left’s.

Imagine the day they stand before God, trying to explain to Him why they happily aborted the child they were carrying or believed so many other lies. There actually is no defense because they will see the truth starkly and no longer be limited by the deception that imprisoned their minds in this life.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 tells us that because of the fact that many within society willingly and continually embrace lies, God finally gives them over to their lies so that they can be free to believe whatever they want. The consequences of their behavior and God giving them over to themselves (an indication of His wrath on them), will free them from the “chains” of truth. Their full and continual acceptance of lies will lead them to God’s judgment, but they are not aware of that until it overtakes them.

If you listen to people today who are so deceived by every lie imaginable, it is easy to understand why they believe those lies based on Paul’s words. Many of those people are almost giddy in their embrace of lies and they seem always on the edge of insanity. They can go off on anyone who holds a differing opinion, either verbally, physically or both.

So when all is said and done, what should the Christian’s response be to this growing attitude and demeanor throughout society? The Great Commission of Matthew 28 has never been rescinded. Essentially, our efforts to reach those of this world now is the same as it has always been.

The problem is that because so many easily become so unhinged because of their deception, it will take far greater patience, compassion and strength to continue to preach the Gospel of salvation to those who are perishing. But by all means, we must continue to evangelize people because we do not know who God may have touched and whose eyes He will open.

While it is far more difficult to talk with people who need salvation in today’s world, largely because most societal decorum is gone with the wind, we must still persevere though a greater chance of some form of violence might be directed at us. We cannot shirk our responsibility to share the Good News, to help others understand that they are need of the same Savior who lives within us. If we don’t tell them, who will? People who are fully deceived hate the truth. They cannot help it. Their reaction to truth is usually visceral and can be violent.

I admit that evangelization has never been my strong suit. I’ve done it and will continue to do it, but it is difficult for me. Others find it much easier and more natural. Since God’s Word never comes back to Him void, we can be assured that whatever we say to people in our attempts to help them understand without Christ, they are on their way to hell, God can use for His glory. It is totally up to Him. He is the One who opens eyes and hearts. He causes the spiritually blind to see the truth.

Our job is to tell people. Yes, it is more difficult today because of the terrible state of too many people today. They live in spiritual blindness created by claustrophobic spiritual deception they have clothed their minds with, thinking they’re fine (part of the deception). But God (and God only) can waken them to His truth.

In spite of how much more difficult it is today to teach people about their need for Jesus, it still must be done. Even though the Tribulation is coming where God will pour out His wrath, He still offers to the lost the same salvation that you and I have.

Make the most of every opportunity. Be ready to provide a reason for the hope you have in Jesus. Ask God to provide opportunities to spread the Gospel. Know that He wants people saved far more than we do.
