We come together in prayer for the 4000 Basotho, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, South Africans and Malawians trapped in old mines in Stilfontein, North West South Africa. These individuals, driven by poverty and unemployment, have been forced to engage in illegal mining to provide for their families.
Despite being labeled as criminals by local authorities, they are deserving of our compassion and prayers. As we reflect on their situation, let us remember that they have not broken God’s laws, but rather are victims of circumstance.
We pray for their swift rescue, seeking help from both expected and unexpected sources. May our collective prayers bring hope and comfort to those trapped.
