We Are Living in the Last Days Upon Earth – Why Are People Acting Like It’s No Big Deal? You’ll Want to Read This

I’m not sure where you are at in your spiritual journey. It’s very likely that most who are reading this are somewhat convinced that we are living in the last days, and the return of Jesus Christ will be soon.

But I have to ask you…Why is everyone living like it’s just another day? With something as big as the “End of the World” why are most not even giving this a second thought? What’s going on in your own mind? Do you have a sense of Urgency, or are you just going with the flow until something dramatic happens?

To contrast this, if the doctor were to sit down with you today and indicate that you have a terminal disease, and that you would likely only live a few more years, what would you be thinking then? How would you live? Would it be any different than you are living right now?

My guess is that, in these two scenarios’, you would approach both of them differently. With a terminal diagnosis, you would definitely live like you were “running out of time.”

But, that’s not how you are living right now…Am I right?

I have thought a great deal about this, and have tried to resolve the difference in my own mind. Why aren’t people living with a sense of urgency? I feel that I have reached a conclusion regarding why this is happening.

With a terminal illness, there is certainly some denial that one would expect to experience. To have a doctor share such alarming news might take a few days for you to process, yet, eventually you accept the fact that this is so. Then, you would try to get the very most out of the days that you have left to live.

Understanding that we are in the end times is handled differently. While there are many of us who see the end times as “factual,” most seem to approach this with a degree of uncertainty…Are we really here? Is the final 7-year countdown really happening?

In this uncertainty, our minds seem to dismiss the reality of what truly lies before us. We do not know for sure, so we dismiss it, and place the associated emotions into a category of unknown. Perhaps many are waiting for more definite information to convince them that they are truly at the point of approaching the end of time.

I’ve concluded then, that our response is determined by the faith we have in the scriptures regarding the Last Days. Minimal faith results in uncertainty. Uncertainty leads to a lack of concern or need to prepare.

So, does it really matter? Wouldn’t it be easier to just keep living as if nothing were going to happen? I would like to answer that question with a simple answer. YES, it does matter, until you are able to resolve ONE VERY IMPORTANT topic.

We are sitting at the edge of one of the most important events is all of the world’s history. Jesus Christ is coming back, and in His return, He is coming to conquer Satan and his angles. There will be a final war, and destruction will end Earth life as we know it.

You will be involved with this event personally, and your eternal future hinges on one thing. Are you ready to hear what it is? Here it is:

Are you “Born Again” by having accepted Jesus Christ into your life, and believe in His atonement as it relates to the forgiveness of your sins? This is it! Your eternal life all hinges upon this one very important task.

Where do you stand on this? We have been told in scripture that if a person has been born again, they will be sent to “Heaven” when they die, or are changed through the process of the rapture:

John 3:3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Here, Jesus tells Nicodemus that spiritual rebirth — through water (symbolic of cleansing/baptism) and the Spirit (new life from God) — is the only way to enter God’s kingdom.

The idea is that being born again means your old sinful nature is replaced by a new spiritual life through faith in Jesus Christ. Without this, no amount of good works, religion, or tradition can qualify a person for heaven.

And the rapture:

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:51–52

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For those who have not accepted Jesus Christ into their life, the consequences are severe. At the very BEST, they will be forced to endure the final 3.5 years of the Tribulation period and have to endure the wrath that God has planned to pour out onto all of the inhabitants of the earth.

So I ask you again…Is it better to just pretend that nothing is coming. Is it easier to do so?

If you are not Born Again, your lack of urgency is the worst decision that you could ever make, and you will have to learn things “The Hard Way.” That to me doesn’t sound like the easier of the two choices.

If you understand this, and have accepted Jesus into your life, then the urgency dissipates. You then can have the promise that God has given to you, and will be quickly moved into the Judgment seat of Christ upon your death/change. Those who go here are guaranteed to be placed into heaven after their “Judgment.” Let’s look at that:

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Romans 14:10–12

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

1 Corinthians 3:13–15

Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Summary:

  • This judgment is for believers only (those already saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ).
  • It happens after the rapture/resurrection when we are already with the Lord.
  • It is about rewards or loss of rewards, not salvation.
  • All who stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ will go to heaven, because salvation was already settled at the cross. They have accepted Jesus Christ and have faith in His atoning sacrifice.

So, what about the others? There will certainly be some that choose not to accept Christ’s atonement…even after living through God’s wrath, which is intended to humble people into having the desire to accept His son. What happens to these people? Let’s return to the scriptures for that answer:

In the King James Version (KJV), the Great White Throne Judgment is described in Revelation 20:11–15.
It is the final judgment of all the unsaved after the end of Christ’s 1,000-year reign on earth.

Here’s what the KJV teaches about it:

1. The Setting — A Great White Throne

  • Revelation 20:11:

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.”

  • The throne is “great” because of its authority, “white” because of its purity and righteousness.
  • The One seated on it is the Lord Jesus Christ, acting as Judge (see John 5:22).

2. The Defendants — The Dead, Small and Great

  • Revelation 20:12:

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”

  • This includes every unbeliever from all of human history—no one escapes.
  • Position, wealth, or fame will not matter; all stand equal before the Judge.

3. The Evidence — The Books

  • There are “books” containing the record of each person’s works, showing their deeds, words, and thoughts.
  • There is also the Book of Life—if a person’s name is not found in it, they face eternal judgment.

4. The Scope — All the Dead, Everywhere

  • Revelation 20:13:

“And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.”

  • No matter where someone’s body or soul is, God will raise and summon them.

5. The Verdict — Eternal Separation from God

  • Revelation 20:14–15:

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

  • The “second death” is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.
  • No appeals, no retrials—this is the final, irreversible judgment.

Key Points to Remember (KJV teaching)

  • This judgment is for the unsaved only.
  • Without the atonement of Jesus Christ, these people will be accountable for every sin that they have ever committed. Because of their sins, they will be forced into the “Lake of Fire” to live forever in a setting away from God.
  • Salvation is determined not by works but by whether one’s name is written in the Book of Life—those who trusted in Jesus Christ (John 3:16) are already secure.
  • This event shows God’s perfect justice—every sin is accounted for, and no unrighteousness escapes judgment.

Where will you go? It’s a very simple question to answer. You only have two choices. If you have been Born Again and accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will receive the ultimate reward. You will be living with Jesus Christ in a new world “heaven” that He has created for you.

If you are resistant to accepting Jesus Christ, and if you choose not to accept His atoning sacrifice, you will be cast out into the Lake of Fire and will spend eternity away from the presence of God.

So, I ask yet a third time…Is knowing that we are living in the end times important, or shall we just go on living as if it were another day? Your entire eternity all hinges on the One Task that we have been asked to perform. Have you even considered this? I plead with you, if this is the first time hearing what I am saying, continue to study things for yourself.

God is very patient and gives us several chances to do the right thing. His patience will yet continue with you, but you must know that things are going to get quite difficult for the non-believers. We are about to enter the “Learn Things the Hard Way” portion of His patience.

As a friend, I can promise you that the more that you know about the end times, the more comfortable that you will be if you are Born Again. The less you know, the more frightening things will become for you. It is actually backwards from the way that most people are thinking right now.

Find peace! Accept Jesus into your life. Commit to Him that you will follow His teachings and be the best version of yourself that you can be. Accept His gift…”The Atonement” and have faith in what He has done for us. This atoning sacrifice will wash away all of your sins, as you repent. You can once again be made clean.

I hope that this information finds you being willing to accept Jesus Christ into your life. In doing so, you are guaranteed a spot in the “Nice Neighborhood.” To live with Jesus Christ, and those who you love, who have also committed their life to Him.

I’m praying that all of your eyes will be open to the task that stands before us. For those of you who have already made this commitment, please join me in praying for those who are just starting to hear this important information. With God’s help, we can reach everyone.

River; WHICH JESUS? The principle concern has to do whether you have come free of Mormon gods, and a Mormon jesus.
Mormon’s believe that god the father is a divine man having a physical body, and jesus had to earn his divinity. Even the trinity is not God in three persons. Finally River do you still believe in these false Mormon gods when you evangelize? The one true Jesus/Yeshua is asking you to lay down your other gods because they won’t get you or your audience into heaven as you suppose.
BIN people deserve an answer and need to hear you renounce this false god doctrine and say good bye to this false savior.

Can you tell me where in the Bible it says we are going to heaven? Be specific? Did you know when you worship “Jesus” you are possibly worshiping the anti Christ.

Or are ashamed of it like the guy above?
