Left Behind After the Rapture – Is There Still Hope?

I have deep empathy for the majority of the people on earth that have no idea what is about to happen to them. We are literally days, weeks away from the beginning of the 7-year tribulation period, yet they continue proceeding on with life as if nothing were coming.

Those who have given their life to Jesus Christ will be Raptured away and will miss the Tribulation Period entirely. But what happens to those who are left behind? Will those people have a chance to be “Saved” or will they simply face doom, and an eternity as a servant of satan?

Let’s first learn of what the 7-Year Tribulation Period will be like. Are you prepared to see what these people will face? Sadly, it can be no worse that what it is, for it will be the most tremulous period of time in all of history.

A World in Chaos

The rapture has happened, removing “Christ’s Church” from the earth. Imagine the confusion and fear that will follow. Cars without drivers, homes suddenly empty, loved ones missing. The world will search for answers. Jesus warned that life would seem normal before this event, saying:

“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”
— Matthew 24:40 (KJV)

Those left behind will face the most terrifying time in human history—the seven-year Tribulation. The Antichrist will rise, promising peace, but soon revealing his true, evil nature. War, famine, and plagues will sweep across the earth as God’s judgments are poured out (Revelation 6–19).

I’m not going to sugar coat this, rather, I will show you the exact scriptures of the 21 things that are planned to happen during the 7-year Tribulation Period:

The Seven Seals – Revelation 6–8

Revelation 6:1–17; 8:1

1. First Seal – The White Horse (Conqueror)
   • Revelation 6:1–2

“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals… and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

2. Second Seal – The Red Horse (War)
   • Revelation 6:3–4

“And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him… to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

3. Third Seal – The Black Horse (Famine)
   • Revelation 6:5–6

“And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand… A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny.”

4. Fourth Seal – The Pale Horse (Death)
   • Revelation 6:7–8

“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him… and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death.”

5. Fifth Seal – The Souls of the Martyrs
   • Revelation 6:9–11

“I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God… and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord… dost thou not judge and avenge our blood?”

6. Sixth Seal – Great Earthquake and Heavenly Signs
   • Revelation 6:12–17

“And, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood… and the kings of the earth… hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks.”

7. Seventh Seal – Silence in Heaven
   • Revelation 8:1

“And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”
(This seal introduces the Seven Trumpets.)

The Seven Trumpet Judgments – Revelation 8–11

Revelation 8:6–11:19

1. First Trumpet – Hail and Fire Mixed with Blood
   • Revelation 8:7

“And the first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood… and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

2. Second Trumpet – Burning Mountain Cast into the Sea
   • Revelation 8:8–9

“As it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea… and the third part of the sea became blood.”

3. Third Trumpet – The Star Wormwood
   • Revelation 8:10–11

“And there fell a great star from heaven… and the name of the star is called Wormwood… and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.”

4. Fourth Trumpet – Darkness Over Sun, Moon, and Stars
   • Revelation 8:12

“And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten… and the day shone not for a third part of it.”

5. Fifth Trumpet – Locusts from the Bottomless Pit (First Woe)
   • Revelation 9:1–12

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth… and there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth… to torment men five months.”

6. Sixth Trumpet – Four Angels at the Euphrates (Second Woe)
   • Revelation 9:13–21

“And the sixth angel sounded… Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates… and the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand.”

7. Seventh Trumpet – The Kingdom Declared (Third Woe)
   • Revelation 11:15–19

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord… and the temple of God was opened in heaven.”

The Seven Bowls (Vials) of Wrath God Will Pour Out – Revelation 16

Revelation 16:1–21

1. First Bowl – Sores on Those with the Mark of the Beast
   • Revelation 16:2

“And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast.”

2. Second Bowl – Sea Becomes as Blood
   • Revelation 16:3

“And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.”

3. Third Bowl – Rivers and Fountains Become Blood
   • Revelation 16:4–7

“And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood… For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink.”

4. Fourth Bowl – Scorching Heat from the Sun
   • Revelation 16:8–9

“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.”

5. Five Bowl – Darkness and Pain on the Beast’s Kingdom
   • Revelation 16:10–11

“And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast… and they gnawed their tongues for pain.”

6. Sixth Bowl – Euphrates Dried Up for the Kings of the East
   • Revelation 16:12–16

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates… to prepare the way of the kings of the east… And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”

7. Seventh Bowl – “It Is Done!” (Earthquake and Hail)
   • Revelation 16:17–21

“And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air… and there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings… and there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven.”

I also want to mention that there is only ONE Truth. It does not matter what you believe, for the One Truth will happen regardless of your belief or mine. Truth is not influenced by popular vote, nor is it changed by someone choosing NOT to believe the truth. God’s truth will happen regardless of any other influence or belief. Ignoring God’s truth is not a good strategy, for it will land you right in the middle of all of these things.

The antichrist will try to convince these people still left on earth, that God’s truth is false, and will make other promises that he can not fulfill, to lead others astray. Following him and his deceptions will only result in spending an eternity with him in hell.

So, can a person choose not to follow satan and his lies during the 7-year tribulation period? Can they choose to follow Jesus Christ instead? The answer is, YES they can.

I can see this entire thing play out in my mind. There are people on the earth right now who have pushed belief in Jesus Christ far away, simply because they have been caught up in the important “Mortal experiences” that they are going through. Some chasing pleasure as their primary focus.

SOME people will realize that they have missed the rapture, and will know that the followers of Jesus Christ have been rescued from the chaos that is all around them. They will have their eyes opened, and will have a desire to run to Jesus Christ in order to save them from satan’s deception. They will desire to be with God in heaven, and will seek a way to come to Him.

Can They Still Be Saved?

Yes — but it will come at a great cost.
Even after the rapture, God’s mercy remains. Many will realize what has happened and turn to Christ in repentance and faith. Revelation describes a great multitude that comes out of the Tribulation:

“These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
— Revelation 7:14 (KJV)

However, those who choose to follow Jesus during this time will face intense persecution. The Antichrist will demand that everyone worship him and receive his mark to buy or sell (Revelation 13:16–17). Refusing the mark means losing access to food, safety, and even life—but it means gaining eternal life through Christ.

“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

It is in your best interest to come to Christ RIGHT NOW, rather than to wait until you are in the Tribulation Period. I can’t stress this enough!

A Final Warning

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, now is the time. Do not wait for the rapture to prove that the Bible is true—it will be too costly then. The Lord is calling all to repent and believe today:

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV)

Jesus Christ loves you and has already paid the price for your salvation. Don’t be left behind. Come to Him while there is still time.
