March and March Movement leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has reportedly received a letter from leaders in Limpopo Province informing her that she and her team are not welcome in the province. The message from Limpopo’s leaders was firm and unambiguous: their province is known for peaceful coexistence, unity, and cultural diversity, and they urged that it should not be used as a platform for actions or campaigns that may promote conflict among residents.

The xenophobic demand issued by Ngizwe Mchunu and Jacinta Ngobese — that all foreign nationals must leave South Africa by 30 June 2026 — has now expired. The South African Police have reportedly made clear that this demand is both invalid and illegal. No organisation or individual has any legal right to drive people out of South Africa. Furthermore, anyone who is not a police officer or immigration official is strictly prohibited from demanding to see anyone’s ID or passport.

UN Position: The United Nations has urged South Africa to protect all people within its borders — regardless of nationality or documentation status.

The South African Human Rights Council (SAHRC) has announced that it will be taking these vigilante groups to court. This is a necessary and welcome step. However, foreign nationals and the many caring South African citizens who love peace must continue to remain vigilant. These illegal groups are bloodthirsty — they want to sacrifice innocent blood for the sake of their hatred and disorder.

A Trail of Violence

Vigilante groups caused the murder of a 19-year-old Tsonga boy and five Mozambican nationals, along with the destruction of hundreds of shacks and the looting of valuables and property belonging to vulnerable communities.

These crimes are not just statistics — they represent shattered families, stolen futures, and communities torn apart by hatred masquerading as patriotism. The government of South Africa must stop violence, crime, looting, xenophobia and vigilantism — and it must do so by force if necessary. The government must use every tool at its disposal to maintain law and order.

The Economic Cost of Disorder

Nobody is going to invest in a country that has no rule of law, that tolerates massive crime and violence. Investors will abandon South Africa. There are African millionaires from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Lesotho and across the continent who are watching — and they are deeply agitated by this ongoing violence and xenophobia. These thugs will not create a single job by looting tuckshops and burning down businesses. How can disorder ever produce order and prosperity? It cannot.

South Africa belongs to those who live in it — and that must mean a South Africa where the rule of law protects every person, where diversity is celebrated rather than persecuted, and where the dignity of every human being is upheld. Limpopo has shown the rest of the nation the right way. Let South Africa follow that example.
