Tiro count as influences such diverse artists as Gino Soccio, Donna Summer, Don Ray, ABC, and Yaz. SKULLandHEADPHONES synthesis these pan-genre inspirations into a signature aesthetic while holed up in its Hoboken headquarters; a private studio stocked with state-of-the-art Modular Synths and a bevy of recording equipment.

Tiro has spent two decades as a tastemaker in music. He’s widely respected for his career as a successful event promoter and talent buyer, producing some of the New York City area’s premier dance parties before becoming music director at the famed East Village venue Webster Hall. In addition, Tiro has been the toast of the underground elite with his 3-level boat parties. In these contexts, he’s worked with internationally renowned DJs, artists, and celebrities. Tiro’s production company named Insane Produzionz that boasted a logo of a skull with headphones, that image transformed into an artist name as Tiro began recording as SkullandHeadphones.
