NFL 2025 Season: Predicting all 16 Games of Week 1
The 2025 NFL season is almost here, once again bringing 32 teams together across five months and 272 games en route to the Playoffs in January. It is, of course, difficult to predict exactly how the season will play out. Analysts and data experts will certainly have their say, and the internet is littered with prediction content for the season ahead, looking at teams’ win-loss totals, player projections, and chances of winning the Super Bowl.
Yet, we thought we would try our hand at something a little different: trying to predict the outcome of every game in the first week, basing our opinions on preseason form, roster acquisitions, how teams performed last season, and a dash of gut feeling.
Below, we will predict every game with just one line of context, while also picking out a few underdogs in the NFL betting odds for Week 1. All games will be played from Thursday, September 4th, through Monday, September 8th.
Cowboys @ Eagles
The defending Super Bowl champions start the campaign with a win, but it’s not just as smooth as Nick Sirianni (or Eagles fans) would like.
