Economic reality will be a catalyst for chaos. But a lack of ‘referees’ could prove deadly

The coming econo-fiscal disaster is the single event most likely to cause riotous assembly among the lower orders globally, as and when they finally wake up to find that they have nowhere near enough to eat – and no money with which to purchase vital sustenance. But the Slog’s view is that a severe lack of culturally trustworthy referees is the greatest existential threat to humanity.

In Europe, business sentiment is on a downward trend: the services PMI dropped to 50.5 in September, suggesting overall stagnation. Manufacturing output fell, from 45.8 to 44.5, and means GDP growth is almost certainly dipping below the last confirmed QonQ figure of 0.3%

Following the recent release of the Mario Draghi doom-paper about weak eurozone activity and dodgy demographic structural realities, no sign of economic recovery is apparent. As in, nothing anywhere on any horizon: FedEx is planning to cut up to 2000 jobs in Europe as it grapples with a decline in freight demand, Europe’s main share indices flatline or fall, and national governments continue to manage expectations downwards.

A lot depends on US Dollar depreciation tactics: in 2023, the EU exported €502 billion worth of goods to the United States – creating a €158 billion surplus for the EU. Whoever wins on November 5th, that’s going to change…and not in Europe’s favour: a cheap Buck is effectively a tariff on imports.

On the other side of the Pond in fact, while the last US jobs report gave market traders and investors a boost – suggesting that the labour market was riding the wild horse of FedReserve rate hikes during the period 2023-24 pretty well – there is no real cause for optimism.

The Biden Administration is spending your tax dollars in a bid to make you feel that everything is really tickerty-boo. How ironically sleazy is that?

Here’s the truth….

Look closely behind the headline data here, and you’ll spot yet another dimension of the Biden-Harris scam: the trend of government jobs being created (30,000 in September alone, and half a million this year to date) shows how the Democrats continue to spend tax dollars incontinently in a bid to make the stats look good. This can’t, however, hide the ultimate reality that economic expansion is stuttering at best: Big Government may be getting bigger, but the economy isn’t.

Recent market research shows that fully twenty per cent of consumers now think “a good job is hard to find”….and they’re right: the American unemployment rate has been rising significantly this year. Furthermore, nowhere near enough of the vacancies are for permanent jobs – there’s been a blip since late Summer in casual ‘part time’ positions.

As is normal on the bourses – especially NYSE stocks – the dingbat traders are taking no account of these signs at all. They can see them alright….but they’re directionalising the rookies in a final bid to squeeze end-of-play profits out of ridiculously over-valued companies.

The good news for those of us who think a Harris victory would squash the failing health of free speech in the US [with eager assistance from the DoD via its “lethality” edict] is that the Obamacult job-creation spend-fest isn’t working. As the Zerohedge site shows, sixty per cent in the US think Trump will win, with the percentage expecting a Kamala victory plunging to forty over the last month.

As I predicted the week before last, the tragic North Carolina fiasco has proved to be a disaster for Harris.

But the MSM bias will continue to pump out a fog of falsehood, and as we head towards the November 5^th powder-keg, a chaotic anarchy of accusation and treachery invention will prevail.

You see people, the problem is, we don’t have any honest arbiters any more.

Do you remember a time on a planet called Earth when we had things called referees?

As Joni Mitchell sang in the days long ago when we did have referees, “You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”.

Joni is a genius who was wrong politically about almost everything, but she was on the money with that lyric from Big Yellow Taxi.

There are no independent referees to settle outcome issues any more – be they electoral malfeasance, legislative procedure debates, offside decisions in soccer, fiscal policies, diplomatic strategies, sovereign rights, civil rights, variants of capitalism, currency valuations, marital breakdown, the definition of insurrection or the self-styled science of climate change.

It’s partly that referees have been replaced by blithe acceptance of impasse (“insoluble”), artificial intelligence and hitech manipulation. Thus – unable to agree on a definition of reality – they’ve been replaced by two obdurate sides yelling at each other. In football, VAR’s decision is final, but completely pointless because its evidence never solves the interpretation dilemma – for example, “Yes he was offside, but was he interfering with play?’

But primarily, it’s not just that cultural referees have been made redundant; it’s that they’ve obviated responsibility in return for muuunnnneeee.

Judges, OpEd writers, legacy media hacks, legislators, central bankers, online platform providers, ecologists, life coaches and divorce lawyers consistently choose monied convenience in preference to rules and principles. Ethically, they look the other way.

Thus, not only do they lose the respect of the average citizen: by default, they genuflect to monied power….confirming it’s position as a seemingly irresistible force Above the Law.

Without a universally recognised Rule of Law to which all must submit, there can be no open-minded, civilised progress. There will be nothing but a “progressive” lock-step settled science ideological darkness propped up by serial – and brutal – repression.

Such a loss of moral accountability would be bad enough on its own. But the sociopaths in the vanguard of Silicon Valley loyalty to (a) surveillance (b) obsessive distraction and (c) narcissistic behaviour have rendered our species problem exponentially more burdensome.

I’m referring here to the orchestrated promotion of the risibly termed Smartphone.

My yesterday involved brisk walking along a popular beach here in The Gambia. It was Sunday yesterday, and the beach at Kololi heading towards Bijolo was a journey of exposure to universal cellphone-punching Third World Yoof blokes and girlies conducting selfie fashion shoots. Respectively, these two occupations offered – to anyone awake any more to anything real – a Daymare of inward-facing anti-social dystopian horror.

How can I put this now into some kind of warning context? Probably by observing that – had a mile-high Tsunami appeared on the horizon – not a single human being would have either noticed or taken evasive action.

They would all have perished indirectly at the hands of a Satanic surveillance weapon that can tell the CIA where you are in 7.8 seconds – but the Langley community that has not the slightest interest in warning anyone of real and present danger, because the Psycho wannabe World State and Big Pharma want us all permanently terrified of WHO pandemic fantasies.

In the event of an approaching mega-wave, everyone on that beach would have died utterly ignorant of the cause of their demise.

This is how pernicious the New Normal unelected distraction>>distortion>>deception programme is.

And it supports the Slog’s view that raising the profile ofthe Free Speech Bravehearts out there is a major priority.
