HIGH ALERT! RFK Jr’s “Wellness Farms” Must be Stopped. Here’s How…

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The Trump Train is moving incredibly fast, but I was not prepared for what I just heard announced by RFK Jr. – Health and Human Services Secretary.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has proposed the creation of “wellness farms” as a strategy to address the nation’s addiction crisis. These facilities would serve as rehabilitation centers where individuals struggling with various substance dependencies—including opioids, antidepressants, and ADHD medications—can recover in a supportive, rural environment.

The concept emphasizes peer-to-peer support, organic farming, and skill development, aiming to help participants reintegrate into society. Kennedy suggests funding these farms through federal taxes on legalized marijuana sales.

The wellness farms are envisioned to operate on a “therapeutic community” model, focusing on behavioral solutions and communal support rather than medication-assisted treatments like methadone or buprenorphine. Participants would engage in activities such as organic farming, trade skill training, meditation, and yoga, all designed to promote holistic well-being and self-sufficiency.

Critics of the proposal point to historical precedents, such as the U.S. Narcotic Farm established in Lexington, Kentucky, in the 1930s, which combined agricultural labor with rehabilitation efforts but yielded limited success. Experts caution that excluding evidence-based medical treatments in favor of solely behavioral approaches may not effectively address the complexities of addiction.

As of February 2025, Kennedy, now serving as President Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, is expected to face questions regarding the feasibility and efficacy of the wellness farms during his upcoming confirmation hearings.

So, that is the plan. If you as an American citizen are not completely against such a thing, I need to spend some time with you today to present the reason that any type of government “camp” is never in the best interest of its citizens.

Government-run camps can be dangerous for citizens when they involve coercion, lack of transparency, or violate basic human rights. History has shown that when governments establish camps under the guise of rehabilitation, security, or public health, they can become tools for control, oppression, and even atrocities.

Imagine, people showing up to your home and forcibly removing you, or a loved one, to be taken away to a camp, “wellness farm.” Then, being in charge of your medical treatment through farming?

Let’s also consider how incapable RFK Jr. is for making the announcement that he just made. He stated that these wellness farms were to address the nation’s addiction with substance dependenciesincluding opioids, antidepressants, and ADHD medications crisis.

I invite you to closely look at one of his examples to show you just how out of touch RFK Jr. is in making such medical claims: Antidepressants.

Antidepressants are not considered addictive because they do not produce the same effects on the brain as substances like opioids, nicotine, or alcohol. Let me share with you the key reasons why antidepressants are not classified as addictive:

1. No Craving or Compulsive Use

Addictive substances create strong cravings, leading people to seek them out compulsively. Antidepressants do not cause this type of compulsive behavior because they do not provide a “high” or an immediate pleasurable effect.

2. No Euphoria or Dopamine Rush

Drugs of abuse, like opioids and stimulants, flood the brain with dopamine, creating a sense of euphoria that reinforces continued use. Antidepressants, on the other hand, work gradually over weeks to regulate neurotransmitter levels, not producing a sudden “feel-good” effect.

3. No Dose Escalation

With addictive drugs, people often develop tolerance, requiring higher doses over time to achieve the same effect. While some individuals may need dosage adjustments with antidepressants, they do not experience the same escalating need for higher doses seen with addictive substances.

4. No Drug-Seeking Behavior

Addiction is often associated with drug-seeking behaviors, such as doctor shopping or illegal purchases. Antidepressants do not create this kind of dependency; people do not typically seek them out in harmful ways.

5. Withdrawal Symptoms Are Not the Same as Addiction

Some antidepressants, particularly SSRIs and SNRIs, can cause discontinuation symptoms if stopped suddenly. However, these symptoms (like dizziness, nausea, or mood changes) are not the same as addiction withdrawal, which includes strong cravings and compulsive drug use. Gradual tapering usually prevents these symptoms.

Dependence vs. Addiction

While the body can become dependent on antidepressants to maintain normal brain chemistry, this is different from addiction. Dependence simply means that stopping suddenly can cause temporary discomfort, but it does not drive compulsive, harmful drug use.

It is simply foolish to place antidepressants in a category of “addictive drugs.” Furthermore, patients who have been placed on antidepressants are closely monitored by their physician to establish proper doses, as well as dealing with any harmful side effects. This “Medical Treatment” is done one on one with a medical doctor or psychiatrist. To disrupt this proper medical care by sending them to a wellness farm has no scientific reasoning as something viable in a person’s treatment plan.

There is another factor to demonstrate that this program is NOT AS IS APPEARS TO BE. Patients who are on antidepressants certainly do not need to be taken off of this medication. Is this their goal? To get them OFF this medication? Have you talked to patients who have had that experience? Antidepressants are quite frankly a life saver. For most patients. They have therapeutically helped balance the brains chemistry to functional levels.

Antidepressants help regulate neurotransmitters like serotonin and norepinephrine, reducing feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and emotional numbness. They effectively treat anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and OCD, helping individuals feel calmer and more in control.

By balancing brain chemistry, antidepressants can improve sleep quality and reduce fatigue, making daily activities more manageable. For individuals with depression-related brain fog, antidepressants can help restore concentration, making work and personal tasks easier to handle.

Long-term use of antidepressants can help prevent the recurrence of depressive episodes, particularly in individuals with chronic depression.

Are you aware of the Kennedy family’s extreme treatment failure regarding a family member who had a mental disorder?

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s family was involved in the controversial lobotomy of his aunt, Rosemary Kennedy. Rosemary, the sister of President John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy, had developmental disabilities and was believed to have mood swings and behavioral issues.

In 1941, at the age of 23, her father, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., arranged for her to undergo a prefrontal lobotomy, a then-experimental procedure meant to “calm” individuals with mental health challenges. The procedure went terribly wrong, leaving Rosemary severely disabled, unable to speak properly, and requiring lifelong institutional care.

Following the lobotomy, Rosemary was placed in a care facility in Wisconsin, away from public view, and the family rarely spoke about her for many years.

This remains one of the most tragic chapters in the Kennedy family history, highlighting the mistreatment of mental health conditions in the past.

Is this the guy that you want in charge of patients who are being successfully treated by their doctor with antidepressants? He doesn’t even know enough to be speaking about the treatment of patients who are using antidepressants, yet he has the power to get involved. We must stop this right away.

Here are some additional details about RFK Jr’s past that might interest you:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has openly discussed his struggles with substance abuse, particularly with cocaine and alcohol. His addiction issues began in his youth, and he has been candid about how they affected his personal life.

In his 20s and 30s, RFK Jr. struggled with cocaine addiction, which led him to a period of self-destructive behavior. He went through multiple stints in rehab, and his battle with drugs was compounded by the emotional toll of his family’s history of trauma, including the assassination of his father, Robert F. Kennedy, and the complex legacy of the Kennedy family.

However, RFK Jr. has publicly shared his recovery journey, highlighting his eventual decision to get sober in the 1980s.

So, to me, it’s clear that we do not have the correct person in charge of the health of our country. We have also been made aware of his inability to properly categorize and deal with “addiction” issues of its citizens. So, what can we do to stop this?

Even if this issue does not involve you directly, I ask that you get involved in the Push- Back that needs to happen to stop this nonscience. If they are taking our freedom now, there’s certainly a high probability that they will be coming for yours later.

We need to be heard. We need to explain that we are against “Wellness Farms” or any other types of government camps. Antidepressants are not considered addictive medications, and government intervention with the care of those taking these medications is indeed a step backwards, and unacceptable.

I invite you to send the following letter to RFK Jr.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. U.S. Secretary of HHS

Washington, D.C. 20201

Dear Mr. Kennedy,

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the Wellness Farms initiative and its position on antidepressants. As a concerned citizen, I would like to clarify my stance, particularly with regard to the issue of antidepressant medications and their classification.

It has come to my attention that the Wellness Farm program has made claims that antidepressants are addictive, which I believe to be a misrepresentation of the facts. Scientific research consistently supports the understanding that antidepressants, such as SSRIs and SNRIs, are not addictive substances. They do not produce the compulsive drug-seeking behavior associated with truly addictive substances.

While antidepressants can lead to dependence in some cases, this should not be confused with addiction. Dependence, such as withdrawal symptoms when discontinuing the medication, is not the same as addiction, which involves cravings and a psychological drive to continue using the substance. I am concerned that the Wellness Farms initiative may be spreading misinformation about antidepressants, which could deter individuals who may benefit from these medications from seeking appropriate care.

I urge the Department of Health and Human Services to review the claims made by Wellness Farms and ensure that accurate, evidence-based information about antidepressant medications is communicated to the public. Inaccurate statements regarding their addictive nature could harm those in need of proper mental health treatment and recovery.

I am also against any type of “Government Camp,” as they are a clear example of removing someone’s freedom for the simple quest of government control.

The care of those with mental health issues is currently best performed by the patient’s physician or psychiatrist. This one-on-one care is the most effective treatment in managing the symptoms of mental health, specific to the inclusion of an antidepressant.

They are closely monitored by their primary care provider. The clear intent is treatment, and not to get the patient off of this life saving medication. Can you imagine taking insulin away from a diabetic, stating that it is because insulin is addictive? You are indeed making a similar claim here with antidepressants.

Making this claim to reduce antidepressants through a wellness farm is reckless, and certainly not scientific. I ask that you put a stop to this plan of Wellness Farms, specifically for the treatment of those who are on antidepressants immediately.

I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to you halting any plans to proceed with wellness farms. Let’s leave the treatment for these patients under the care of their doctor.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
