What they don’t want you to know about the effects of wireless radiation

electromagnetic-radiation(NaturalHealth365)  Wireless connectivity is all around us, all the time.  From our computers to our phones and watches, fridges, and cars – we are more connected than ever.  But all of that connectivity is expressed in the form of electromagnetic radiation.

We are constantly told that electromagnetic radiation is safe at the levels needed for the internet and 4 and 5G technology, but is it really?  Starting in the 1970s, the US Navy began to look at the exposure risk of low-frequency electromagnetic radiation in sailors who engaged with devices such as radios and to see if there was any kind of risk, and their results were troubling.

Let’s look at what started this discussion and where the discussion has led in 2025.  We’ll also look at how to protect your family and yourself from persistent electromagnetic radiation in your environment.

What is electromagnetic radiation?

Wireless technology uses a full form of radiation that operates at a low frequency, passing through almost all material with relative ease.  This is why you can have your router in one room of the house and still have an internet connection in other areas.

You must understand that this type of radiation can pass through your flesh and into your organs more easily than through plaster or drywall.  Scientific consensus has been largely that it is not a problem; that the level of radiation necessary to connect our devices is low enough that it will not cause cellular damage.

Though some studies throughout the years have indicated some concern, the Navy’s research into these phenomena in the 1970s already showed that even with the low-level devices they had back then, they did seem to be evidence of risk.

What the Navy study uncovered

Naval science officers and researchers looked at the incidences of various organ system problems in sailors who operated wireless devices.  Keep in mind this was in the ’70s before cellular technology even existed, so we are talking about radios and radar, nothing like the ubiquity of wireless technology that we have today.  The exposure was constant because it was their job, but it was essentially minimal.

Researchers looked at conditions of the lymphatic, respiratory, blood and cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, digestive, endocrine, brain, and neurological systems, mental health disorders, and systemic diseases like autoimmune or cancer.

Researchers compared the data from those in jobs where they were exposed to wireless radiation to those who were not, and, across the board, they found an increase in the incidence of various diseases in every single one of these systems.  In some cases, the increase in disease was small – digestive disease exposure increase was only about 15%, but in other cases, like musculoskeletal disease, there was a 250% increase in those who had constant exposure.  Overall, the average increase in disease expectations for those who were constantly exposed to wireless technology was 58%.

The diseases that were seen varied widely but the implication was essentially that prolonged wireless exposure lowered immune thresholds or caused some kind of weakening of the various bodily systems.  Regardless of the reason why, there definitely seems to be a significant correlation suggested by the data.

It’s important to keep in mind, too, that these are men and women who were exposed through shortwave radios, radar, and sonar.  We have 5G towers in every city and even in the countryside nowadays – you are bombarded by more electromagnetic radiation than any other human in the history of the world prior to 2010.  The implications are terrifying.

How to protect yourself from electromagnetic radiation

In modern times, there is even more evidence that wireless technology is nowhere near as safe as we have been sold.  Unfortunately, our society demands constant connectivity for work, school, and even commerce.  Most people don’t use cash at the store anymore, and those kiosks that you pay for with your credit card require wireless technology.

Even though we need this technology, there are ways to protect ourselves.  Do not sleep in a room with a wireless router – have it set up in your office or where nobody lingers.  Even better, purchase a wired router to avoid the risk.

Secondly, do not keep your phone with you or in your pocket unless you are leaving your house.  Another way to avoid direct exposure to your phone’s radiation, in particular, is to use wired headphones to create a distance between you and the cell phone.  This way, the phone is not held directly to your head when speaking.  Of course, either way, keep the conversation as short as possible until you can use a wired telephone for extended phone call conversations.

Beyond things you can do for yourself and your family, communicating with your legislators is a good place to start a grassroots effort to get more scientific research into this field.  The scientific consensus is that these devices and wireless technology are safe and fine, but it’s simply because little effort is put into continued research.  If naval research from the ’70s indicated a danger, how much do you think that danger has grown in the last 50 years?

Take care of yourself and organize your community to find more ways to get this information to other people and to have wireless technology scrutinized at the level it needs to be.  The only way things will improve is through a greater level of awareness in our society about the dangers of wireless technology.
