Proddatur – Andhra Pradesh: Proddatur MLA Varadarajula Reddy was honoured by municipal Covid workers in recognition of his efforts to ensure a long-pending salary hike for 95 workers who have been serving without a pay revision for the past six years.

MLA directs implementation of salary hike

During the felicitation program, the MLA instructed the municipal commissioner to implement the revised monthly salary from November, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the workers.

Workers express gratitude

Municipal union leaders Satyanarayana, Salman, Chanti, Raghavendra, Raju, Mary Babu, committee members, and several workers participated in the event. They felicitated the MLA with a shawl and garland, thanking him for his intervention in resolving their issue.
