Mydukuru MLA Putta Sudhakar Inaugurates Rural Veterinary Hospital Building In Muthulurupadu

Andhra Pradesh: The newly constructed Rural Veterinary Hospital building at Muthulurupadu village in Khajipet mandal of Kadapa district was inaugurated on Thursday by Maidukuru MLA Putta Sudhakar Yadav. The facility, built at a cost of Rs 26 lakh under the NABARD Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), aims to strengthen veterinary healthcare services and support livestock farmers in the region.

Veterinary infrastructure strengthened for farmers

Speaking at the inauguration, the MLA said the new hospital building would improve veterinary services for farmers who depend on livestock and dairy farming for their livelihood.

He noted that access to timely treatment, vaccinations, and veterinary guidance is essential for maintaining animal health and increasing milk production in rural areas.

The facility is expected to benefit farmers from Muthulurupadu and surrounding villages by providing improved infrastructure for livestock care.

Constructed with NABARD RIDF funds

Officials said the veterinary hospital building was constructed with financial assistance from the NABARD Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) with an estimated cost of Rs 26 lakh.

The project was undertaken to enhance rural veterinary services and strengthen the livestock sector, which plays a crucial role in the rural economy.

Several officials from the Animal Husbandry Department and engineering wing attended the inauguration ceremony.

Those present included Dr. NA Srinivasulu, Joint Director; Dr. G Srinivasulu Reddy, IIC Deputy Director; P. Meghnath, Deputy Engineer (Agri Marketing); Dr. M Lakshumaiah, Mandal Veterinary Officer, Eturu, Khajipet Mandal.

Support for livestock development

Officials said strengthening veterinary infrastructure is vital for promoting scientific animal husbandry practices, improving livestock productivity, and supporting dairy farmers.

They added that such initiatives will help ensure better animal healthcare services and contribute to the economic well-being of rural communities in Khajipet mandal and nearby areas.
