Only Two Days Left For SIR: MPJ Urges Voters To Safeguard Their Democratic Right

Proddatur – Andhra Pradesh: With only two days remaining for the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, the Movement for Peace and Justice (MPJ) has intensified its voter awareness campaign, urging citizens to promptly complete the voter verification process. During a door-to-door outreach programme in Proddatur, MPJ leaders appealed to residents to verify their electoral details and submit the required enumeration forms before the July 14 deadline, stressing that protecting the right to vote is every citizen’s democratic responsibility.

MPJ volunteers carried out an extensive awareness campaign in Srinivasa Nagar and Saida Gari Street, visiting households and encouraging eligible voters to participate in the ongoing SIR process. The campaign focused on educating residents about the importance of timely voter verification and submission of the prescribed forms.

• “Right to vote must be protected”

Addressing the public, MPJ State General Secretary Shaik Salim Basha said the right to vote is the cornerstone of democracy, and every citizen has a duty to safeguard it. He urged voters not to delay the process and emphasized that negligence, indifference, or complacency at the last moment could result in unnecessary complications regarding their electoral records.

• Appeal to complete verification before July 14

Pointing out that only two days remain before the SIR deadline, Salim Basha called upon every family to verify their voter details and ensure that the enumeration forms distributed by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are completed and submitted without delay. He also advised citizens to immediately contact their respective BLOs to resolve any doubts or discrepancies related to their voter registration.

The awareness drive was attended by MPJ Rayalaseema In-charge Dr. M.D. Ayub Khan, District In-charge Zakir Umri, Town President Hussain Basha, Town Secretary Mohammed Rafi, Shafi (iYM), Muktiyar, Ghouse Lazam, Shafi, Sabir, Rafiq, Mahabub Khan, Allah Bakash, and several other volunteers and members who participated in the public outreach campaign.
