K Pop’s Cultural Heist Of Urban American Culture leads to Questions

K Pop’s theft of Ideas, Style and Culture from American Indians (so-called Black Americans) is apparent…

But Will K pop admit it to the World, or will it be another American Indian (so-called Black Americans) Cultural Heist.

Cultural appropriation refers to the adoption or use of elements of one culture by members of another culture. This concept is often discussed in the context of power dynamics, where a dominant culture takes from a minority or marginalized culture without permission, understanding, or respect for the original cultural context.

K pop Demon Hunter Zoey is suppose to be an Explosive Rapper, despite her cute appearance, Who is That?

The K Pop song “Soda Pop” from the Demon Hunters soundtrack is written to disarm you. On the surface, it’s a boy-band song with a bright hook, chanty intro, call-and-response. But underneath, the language is predatory by design.

In the film, the Saja Boys are literal demons masquerading as idols, and “Soda Pop” is their weaponized charm offensive.

Prior to K Pop, Korean culture was rich, traditional, and very different in tone and values, shaped by history, Confucianism, and centuries-old arts. Here’s a clear picture of what Korean culture was like prior to the rise of modern K-pop.

Modesty and social harmony were valued over self-expression.

Traditional Korean music focused on Emotional depth rather than perfection, with Slower, expressive rhythms.

Performing Arts & Entertainment. Social satire and folk stories. Court music & dances performed for royalty, ceremonial rituals and folk festivals tied to farming seasons. Entertainment was often communal, not celebrity-focused.

Clothing & Aesthetics. Simple lines, soft colors, flowing shapes designed for harmony with nature, not showing off the body. Beauty standards favored natural looks and modesty, unlike modern idol culture.

Before K-pop, Korean culture centered on tradition, emotional storytelling, respect, and community, with music and art meant to preserve identity, not transform into another…
