Drier and cooler conditions are expected today behind a cold front to our east. This`ll continue tomorrow, before the heat starts to build back in on Wednesday and Thursday. It`ll get increasingly hot and humid going into the weekend, and some scattered afternoon showers will be possible, especially over the mountains.

For the North Atlantic…Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Beryl, nearing the Windward Islands and recently upgraded Tropical Storm Chris, located inland over eastern Mexico.
1. Central Tropical Atlantic (AL96):
Showers and thunderstorms continue in association with an area of low pressure located about 1000 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Environmental conditions appear conducive for additional development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form by the middle part of this week while it moves generally westward at 15 to 20 mph across the central and western tropical Atlantic. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should monitor the progress of this system.
* Formation chance through 48 hours…medium…40 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days…high…70 percent.
Pollen levels are expected to be in the low-medium range (3.9 out of 12) today with Grasses, Plantain, and Dock being the main culprits. Tomorrow is expected to be in the low-medium range (3.5 out of 12.0).
