The left’s support for Jimmy Kimmel is the epitome of transferring what they have done for years suppressing free speech. Today’s headlines trashing Trump’s supposed attack on free speech has no reference to Twitter’s ban of President Trump’s account while he was the President.
What should happen? People are allowed to free speech under the conditions imposed by law. You are not allowed to scream “fire” in a movie theater. We also have laws concerning libel and character defamation. In this case, Kimmel falsely proclaimed that the alleged assassin was a MAGA supporter, it did not directly attack the character of Charlie Kirk. Imagine the premise that Disney is supporting: the concept of making America great again is responsible for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
It also is the right for advertisers or television stations to pull their support of an event or television show for no reason. Disney, Netflix and mainstream media still will not acknowledge that American values and culture are still intact across much of the nation. Two examples are the Sydney Sweeney commercials and the memorial service for Charlie Kirk. Imagine the major news networks not airing this service for fear of reprisals from the Darkness.
While it is up to Disney to reinstate Jimmy Kimmel, its affiliate stations still have the right to not air propaganda and lies. What if this spreads to impact other programs, products and media outlets? Trump has won several cases of false claims about his character and creative editing. While this will not win the war, more lawsuits will make them consider the consequences of their actions. Or not, the Darkness will never stop until it is destroyed.
