CAREER SUICIDE: 60 Minutes Scott Pelley FIRED After Deranged Meeting Meltdown Accused New Bosses of “MURDER”

I am not going to pull any punches on this. Scott Pelly is a bloviating stooge – a complete piece of shit who believed his own perverted sense of self-importance.
60 Minutes lost its credibility years ago. Of course Bari Weiss wants to get it back, It’s her mandate.
CBS has fired “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley, and rightly so. He betrayed journalistic principles in platforming debunked science, in being closed-minded and dogmatic, and in behaving like a pompous ass. Good riddance. https://t.co/saRQ6YCil8 pic.twitter.com/GMk7lfymP3

Yesterday, Scott Pelley hijacked a meet and greet with new staffers and accused the new CBS News boss of ‘murdering’ ‘60 Minutes’
As one commenter pointed out, “If Pelley’s intention was to come across as though he was in charge and had no desire to adapt to the changes in management, then mission accomplished.
While I am sure his colleagues will display empathy or sympathy, I can’t picture any other job in any industry where a manager or member of the leadership team wouldn’t have fired him for gross insubordination.”
This letter from 60 Minutes’ new EP, Nick Bilton, is so telling and transparent.
It’ll be hilarious to listen to anyone defend Pelley after reading this. And when they do, they will do so dishonestly.

Scott Pelley’s brazen attack on the new boss of “60 Minutes” has divided staffers at CBS News, with some insiders branding his behavior “bullying” and “grandstanding.”
Pelley laced into Nick Bilton, the new executive producer of “60 Minutes,” on Monday during a meet-and-greet with staffers, calling out the boss’s lack of TV experience, challenging his vision and telling him he would “never be welcomed here.”
“What did he accomplish?” one CBS source said of Pelley’s explosive attack. “He embarrassed the company and the leadership.”
A day after the confrontation, Pelley met with CBS top brass in order to “find a path forward,” according to Puck News.
“Pelley did a “suicide by police” imho. He refused to meet his new boss, acted like a petulant child in a way that forced his firing, then played the victim.” (X)

Go watch Pelley’s commencement speech at Wake Forest last year and you’ll see who’s playing a big role in “murdering” 60 Minutes… https://t.co/0DdiCdme8D

Accusing your boss of “murder” is not a slick move. It was a well deserved firing. Pelley is a garbage journalist. His ratings were horrible when he was anchor of the CBS Evening News. https://t.co/X89U69uzrs

“My boss called me into a meeting to explain why I’d acted like an entitled jackass in the staff meeting and to give me a chance to walk it back, I spent the whole meeting demanding she answer my questions about unrelated staffing decisions and then she fired me”

In a letter obtained by The Post, newly appointed “60 Minutes” executive producer Nick Bilton blasted Pelley in informing him he was fired “for cause effective immediately.”
