Germany: Attempted Rapist Even Gropes Arresting (Female) Officer
What could be safer than walking your dog in a cemetery in Heidelberg, Germany at 10 in the morning? That’s what I used to think, but times have changed in Germany, as in the rest of Western Europe, thanks largely to Germany’s former chancellor, Angela Merkel, who opened the floodgates to Germany in 2015 and urged her EU partner nations to do the same with disastrous results that continue to this day.
On Tuesday, August 18, a woman was walking her dog through a cemetery when she was accosted by a 24-year-old man from the Gambia. The man allegedly grabbed her by the breast and dragged her into a nearby cornfield, where he attempted to rape her. She managed to break free and escaped. Within the next few minutes, the man allegedly attempted to do the same with two other women in separate incidents. Both managed to break free from the man and escape. Passersby called police, and the man was quickly found and arrested. As if that wasn’t enough, during the arrest, the suspect allegedly groped a female officer in the crotch. He now sits in a Heidelberg lock-up awaiting trial.
Trivia fact: The Gambia is 96% Muslim.

Heidelberg: On Tuesday, August 18, around 10 am, a 24-year-old man allegedly attacked a woman in a field at the Pfaffengrund Cemetery in Heidelberg, report the Mannheim Police headquarters and the Heidelberg State Prosecutors Office. The woman was walking with her dog. The man, who was unknown to her, initially grabbed her on the breast and then tried to drag her into a nearby cornfield. With loud resistance, the woman managed to break loose and run away.
Between 10:25 and 10:30 am, the 24-year-old man allegedly grabbed two other women walking by the hands and wrists in two separate incidents. He also tried to drag them into the cornfield. Both women resisted vehemently, causing the suspect to let go of them in both cases.
Passersby rushed to assist and called emergency services. After an immediate search, the police arrested the 24-year-old a short time later. During the arrest, the man, from the Gambia, allegedly groped a female officer in the crotch. The next day, the accused was brought before a magistrate at the Heidelberg courthouse.
A custody order was issued at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for suspicion of multiple attempted sexual attacks, sexual harassment, and other charges. The custody order was carried out, and the 24-year-old was taken to a detention facility. The investigations into the crimes and other incidents in connection with the accused are ongoing.
