Politico: GOP Midterm Policy Is “Skimpy”

Convention puts GOP’s reality on display: Midterm policy agenda is skimpy

Republicans used their midterm convention this week to ask voters to preserve their congressional majorities and let them “finish the job.”

But with few consensus legislative goals, it’s far from clear what job they want to finish.

The two-day convention here centered on painting Democrats as an increasingly socialist party that American voters cannot trust with power while highlighting the GOP’s one major victory on Capitol Hill under President Donald Trump’s second term: the year-old tax-cut package known as the “big, beautiful bill.”

In contrast, there was little talk from the podium of what Republicans might seek to pass with a continued trifecta, and members interviewed on the sidelines shared differing visions of what specific legislation the GOP should pursue in the last two years of Trump’s presidency.

Well, true, the GOP doesn’t have the detailed agenda the Democrats do, which includes

• Impeach Trump, Vance, everyone around him, and investigate them ad nauseum
• Raise taxes
• Restrict legal ownership of guns
• Force Everyone Else into an EV
• Defund the cops
• Defund the military
• Legislation establishing a 32 hour workweek where people get paid for 40
• Government run and controlled healthcare
• Cancel all student debt
• End all cooperation with those horrible Jews in Israel
• Defund ICE, end the border
• End sanctions on Cuba and Iran
• Abolish the Senate and presidency
• End the ability of the Supreme Court to do judicial review
• Let in tons of Muslim extremists and people from 3rd world shitholes.
• Control every citizen

It’s nuts, but, hey, the Dem agenda isn’t skimpy, right?

Oh, and let’s not forget the coming AI apocalypse

Obama and the Dems are suspiciously sounding the ‘AI apocalypse’ alarm — just in time for the midterms

The “AI Apocalypse” scare campaign looks suspiciously like the climate hoax. How convenient that it’s come to a head right as the midterm election season kicks off this week.

The campaign launch was when Jacob Coxon, a low-level 27-year-old AI researcher, trumpeted his resignation from AI company Anthropic in a Wall Street Journal exclusive last week followed by a viral X thread warning AI will “kill us all.”

“The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade .?.?. They are gambling with our lives,” he claimed.

His boss, the Democrat-aligned Anthropic founder and CEO Dario Amodei, amplified Coxon’s apocalyptic message with a 3,800-word essay on Saturday, followed by a giddy interview CBS aired Sunday in which he essentially called for a one-world government to regulate AI.

He wants “the right combination of governments” to provide “some kind of joint governance [to] control the technology.

Why don’t all those AI companies come up with rules? Oh, right, because the Elites want to codify their positions and make it harder for small companies and startups. Anyhow, Dems are beating the AI apocalypse bandwagon hard, because their voters are complete sheep and do not know any better.
