In the land of too little too late, otherwise known as the House of Representatives or also known as the we’re going to pretend to do something and actual do nothing or…well, I could go on for days with other ways to say it but we need to get to the heart of this very interesting breaking news story first we now have breaking news that the House Oversight Committee led by James Comer and his other non-so merry men and women, have now subpoenaed three senior White House aides, demanding their depositions regarding President Joe Biden’s health and the administration’s internal operations. Which is a fancy non-confrontation way to say they want to know who’s ACTUALLY running the White house.

Now, why is this critical you may ask? Well, sit down for this one, it appears some in Washington are now starting to believe that the bumbling, mumbling, stumbling, stammering and sleeping Commander in Depends actually isn’t the one running the Country!?!? I know, they’re slow, it takes them awhile to catch up to where we’ve been for a very, very, long time. But that’s just where this story really starts to take off and where we’re going to pick back up in just one minute!

On Wednesday, Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) issued subpoenas to Anthony Bernal, the top aide to First Lady Jill Biden; Annie Tomasini, deputy chief of staff; and senior adviser Ashley Williams, described by Axios in their article Exclusive: House Oversight subpoenas top Biden aides over his mental fitness as “low-profile but very influential” within the White House.

The article goes into a bit more detail before we review the subpoena’s themselves by stating :

• All three are low-profile but very influential inside the White House, Biden officials have told Axios.
• Comer asked for the aides to respond by July 17 and requested they sit for closed-door interviews later this month.
• He also cited a recent Axios report about Bernal and Tomasini having access to the first family’s residence — a situation that White House residence staff found unusual since political staffers often don’t have such access.

The Axios report they are referring to is Top aides shielded Biden from staff, but couldn’t hide the debate where the man in front of the current made it apparently obviously, finally, to all watching that there have been many, many, people behind the curtain helping Joseph Marionette Biden to maneuver (come on that’s GENIUS!) and pretend that he’s a real boy / global world leader….buy, it’s hard to even say that out loud.

In letters sent on Wednesday, Comer highlighted Bernal and Tomasini’s unusual access to the first family’s residence, noting that White House residence staff found this access ‘unusual’ since ‘political staffers often don’t have such access.’

According to the House Oversight Committee subpoenas,

Subsequent to the President’s “disastrous”1 debate performance in June, officials in the House of Representatives,2 the Senate,3 and the White House4 have voiced concerns about the President’s ability to lead the country. Recent reporting has revealed a White House in disarray, and one former Biden aide has said that “Annie [Tomasini], Ashley [Williams] and Anthony [Bernal] create a protective bubble around” President Biden, and the President is “staffed so closely that he’s lost all independence.”5 Mr. Bernal specifically has been identified as having uncharacteristic access to even the President’s personal residence and has taken steps since early in President Biden’s term to “rope off” the President.

The Committee is concerned that Mr. Bernal appears to be one of several White House staffers who have taken it upon themselves to run the country while the President cannot. To be clear, the American people did not elect Mr. Bernal or any White House staffer to do President Biden’s job for him, and the Committee seeks Mr. Bernal’s testimony regarding the matters identified above.

Now here’s where the story gets more interesting :

In his letter to Bernal, Comer wrote,

The Committee is therefore investigating the scope of Mr. Bernal’s responsibilities within the White House. In particular, based on the reports discussed above, it appears as though Mr. Bernal has firsthand knowledge of the extent to which President Biden is personally carrying out the duties of his office and whether he is capable of doing so. The Committee seeks this information to explore whether the time has come for Congress to revisit potential legislation to address the oversight of presidents’ fitness to serve pursuant to its authority under Section 4 of
the Twenty-Fifth Amendment.
The nature and scope of Mr. Bernal’s duties have long been of interest to the Committee. Mr. Bernal was one of several White House employees to enter the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement (Penn Biden Center) and attempt to remove boxes of documents months before the supposed discovery of classified materials at the same location. Indeed, the Committee previously sought testimony from Mr. Bernal about President Biden’s mishandling of classified materials and whether the White House led an effort to cover up the President’s actions or mislead the American people about them.9 However, the White House has refused to allow Mr. Bernal to testify.

In Tomasini subpoena, a long-time friend of the Biden family, maintained close relations with Hunter Biden during the Obama administration, sometimes referring to him as her “brother” and ending emails with “LY” (Love You), as shown in emails from 2010 to 2016 we learn :

The nature and scope of Ms. Tomasini’s duties have long been of interest to the
Committee. Ms. Tomasini was one of several White House officials to visit the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement before the “discovery” of classified materials at the same location in November 2022.8 Indeed, the Committee previously sought testimony from Ms. Tomasini about President Biden’s mishandling of classified materials and whether the White House led an effort to cover up the President’s actions or mislead the American people about them. However, the White House has refused to allow Ms. Tomasini to testify.

Comer stated, “The White House has shielded three key aides from testifying about President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and now we’ve learned through reporting these same aides are also seeking to cover up President Biden’s declining cognitive state inside the White House. President Biden is clearly unfit for office, yet his staff are trying to hide the truth from the American people. Key White House staff must come before our committee so we can provide the transparency and accountability that Americans deserve.”

Keeping in mind now my friends that, and according to this AP article, House Republicans sue Attorney General Garland over access to Biden special counsel interview audio. How they haven’t already gained access to this defies imagination but nonetheless they are trying as hard as a teenage boy trying to make it to second base in the back of a movie theater.

So although Comer states :

I am issuing subpoenas today for White House staff Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams to appear for depositions. The White House has shielded these three key aides from testifying about President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and now we’ve learned through reporting these same aides are also seeking to cover up President Biden’s declining cognitive state inside the White House. Joe Biden’s staff are trying to hide the truth from the American people.

@GOPoversight will deliver the transparency and accountability Americans deserve.

So now why might things be different this time around you may ask? Well, the answer may be before your very eyes. In another Axios article titled Biden staff “miserable,” alarmed as pressure builds we learn :

Why it matters: Outside pressure for Biden to drop his re-election bid grew wider and louder on the Fourth of July, especially from major donors. Doubts also are rising inside the house.

The big picture: “Everyone is miserable, and senior advisers are a total black hole,” a White House official told Axios. “Even if you’re trying to focus on work, nothing is going to break through or get any acknowledgment” from bosses.

“Everything else feels like ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ by his inner circle to prop him up.”

A high-ranking Democratic National Committee official told Axios: “The only thing that can really allay concerns is for the president to demonstrate that he’s capable of running this campaign.”

Remember, it’s all about money and power. If these ‘staffers’ find themselves sailing in a sinking ship, they’ll flee the ship and leave the captain behind to drown in a sea of his own tears. They will only continue to care about Biden until it is apparent the water is rushing in, the lights are going out and they better find their next vehicle of power before it’s much to, much to late.
