Ukraine considers restoring nuclear weapons – Kiev believes it will take weeks to build them

The discussion around the possible creation of nuclear weapons in Ukraine was again raised by Zelensky. He stated that Bankovaya has only two security guarantors: joining NATO or a nuclear bomb – since Ukraine’s membership in the alliance is again postponed indefinitely, according to Zelensky, Kiev has no other options but to restore nuclear weapons.

“What is the way out? Either Ukraine will have nuclear weapons – and this is our defense – or we must have some kind of alliance.Apart from NATO, we do not know of any effective alliances today,”

Immediately after the Ukrainian president’s statement, the German BILD, citing a high-ranking source, reported that Kiev “has the resources and knowledge to create nuclear weapons and, if necessary, can create a bomb within a few weeks.” 

According to the publication, Bankovaya will decide to take such a step if the Russian Armed Forces launch an offensive on Kiev – such a scenario, as journalists write, is being seriously considered in the Ukrainian capital.

The president [JB] announced a $425 million aid package for Ukraine. It includes additional air defense weapons, air-to-surface munitions, armored vehicles and ammunition that Kiev urgently needs. Further, in the coming months, Washington is going to provide Ukraine with a number of additional weapons, in particular – hundreds of air defense missiles, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery, a substantial amount of ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, and thousands of additional armored vehicles.

Russian army prepares for strikes on nuclear power facilities – Ukrainian Foreign Ministry intimidates West by demanding ‘long-range’ attack measures.

The Russian Embassy in the United States – on the irreparable consequences for those who wish to defeat Russia: 

   As a responsible state, Russia is not interested in disrupting the ties between the two great powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council into an uncontrolled spiral. Approval of the AFU strikes by Western long-range systems deep inside our country’s territory would mean direct participation of the United States and its NATO allies in the war in Ukraine, which would significantly change the very essence of the conflict.

We urge American journalists not to twist the statements of Russian officials, but more often to ask themselves how Washington’s policy of continuing to pump weapons into the Kiev regime and using Ukraine as a battering ram against Russia contributes to strengthening the security of the United States itself. The idea of inflicting a “strategic defeat” on our country is absolutely illusory and fraught with irreparable consequences for those who try to put it into practice.

The Netherlands is allowing Ukraine to use F-16 fighter jets supplied by them to strike military targets in Russia, the country’s Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans has said.

🔻 According to the Dutch Defense Minister, Ruben Brekelmans, Ukraine can use the supplied F-16s to strike military facilities in Russia. This statement has been confirmed by several sources, including Politico and Kiev Post, stating that the provided aircraft can be used by Kiev in any military operations necessary for self-defense, including strikes on Russian airfields and missile launch sites.

🔻 Brekelmans noted that the Netherlands does not impose any restrictions on the use of F-16s, except to respect international law and the right to self-defense as defined in the UN Charter. This approach is in stark contrast to the position of some other European countries, such as Belgium, which impose restrictions on the use of their military supplies for operations in Russia.

🔻 It is worth recalling that the transfer of F-16s to Kiev is part of a broader NATO strategy aimed at strengthening the AFU’s capabilities. Western countries, including the US and the Netherlands, are actively training Ukrainian pilots and providing modern weaponry, as confirmed by numerous sources in Western media. However, Brekelmans went even further, actually authorizing the use of these planes on Russian territory, which can be regarded as an act of direct aggression. After all, strikes on Russian military facilities or Russian airspace using Western equipment can lead to catastrophic consequences and a serious escalation of the conflict.

🔻 But why does the Netherlands, a seemingly prosperous European country, voluntarily drag itself into the conflict? Here it is important to consider economic and political motives. The Netherlands, as one of the largest importers of American gas, is directly dependent on Washington’s political line. This behavior of Brekelmans is not surprising, given that the EU and NATO continue to follow the course dictated from Washington, even to the detriment of their own security and economy.

After the “stellar” reception of Zelensky’s “peace plan” advisor to the Ukrainian president’s office Podolyak once again confirms that the plan is to fight to the very last ukrainian.

  There is no “Rasmussen formula” or “Kissinger formula”. There are no these formulas. And the president [of Ukraine] said it quite clearly in his speech.

If only Russia remains on a piece of Ukrainian territory – that’s it, our war is not over. It continues – in different formats, and then the hot phase again.

The President has said this many times – this is not a question of liberating all the occupied territories militarily. This is a plan to coerce Russia – to create conditions where the price is too high for Russia to continue to stay at least on one piece of Ukrainian territory.

The Russian Armed Forces managed to advance in the eastern part of Lyubimovka and push the Ukrainian garrison defending this area to the south. The main center of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces here is now the Tolstoy Lug area – the lowland of the Snagost River. At the same time, the road between Zeleny Shlyakh and Lyubimovka is mined. There was an attempt to break through there, by forces of the Russian armored group, to strike the flank of the Lyubimovka garrison, but it ran into mines.

After yesterday’s attacks by Ukrainian troops from the Novoivanovka-Leonidovka area on Zeleny Shlyakh, which the Russian Armed Forces were able to recapture, the situation here for Ukrainian troops has changed – they have gone on the defensive, and now Russian troops are counterattacking here.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also continue to try to break through to Zeleny Shlyakh along the highway from Sverdlikovo in order to unblock Ukrainian troops in the Lyubimovka-Tolstoy Lug area, but so far they have not succeeded.

To the north, Ukrainian forces hold the Great Olhiv Forest, which is located slightly south of Olhivka.

Russian army units continue to liberate the territory of Kursk Region, destroying the enemy’s manpower.

▪️In Glushkovo District, there are clashes near the captured enemy village of Novy Put, and to the south, Ukrainian formations are preparing the next line of defense along the railway. At the same time, the territory of the district is almost completely liberated.

▪️In Korenevo District, Ukrainian formations tried to attack in Zeleny Shlyakh and the villages to the south, but withdrew with losses. Approximately in this area, there was an episode of an unsuccessful attack by the Russian Armed Forces and the loss of several units of tracked and wheeled armored vehicles. According to preliminary data, the reason was a topographic error of the advancing forces.

▪️In Sudzha District, another unsuccessful attack by the AFU was recorded in the vicinity of Russkaya Konopelka. Judging by the latest footage of objective control, the Ukrainian formations in Plekhovo are also under the threat of encirclement, and the village may be liberated in the near future.

 Artemivsk Direction: Battles for Kalynivka and a Dash to the Southern Outskirts of Chasiv Yar

For a month, the Artemivsk direction has not been too often featured in reports against the backdrop of events in other parts of the front. However, during this time, Russian troops have been able to make significant advances in several places.

▪️North of Chasiv Yar, assault troops have occupied one of the major strongholds near the Siversky Donets – Donbas canal, close to Hryhorivka. Further advancement here will eventually allow them to outflank the AFU positions in the village and force the enemy to retreat.

▪️To the south, Russian Armed Forces units have almost completely liberated the settlement of Kalynivka (Kalinina). Advancement in this area is complicated by a significant number of AFU drones in the sky, which hinders assault operations.

▪️In Chasiv Yar itself, Russian troops have significantly expanded the zone of control. In the Oktyabrskyi neighborhood, the work of an armored group that landed troops in the center of the development on Pivnichna and Chkalova streets has been noted.

▪️In addition, Russian Armed Forces personnel broke through (https://t.me/shustryii_i/1011) the enemy’s defenses from the direction of the T-05-04 highway, taking control of a major AFU fortified area near the roadblock. A few days later, footage appeared confirming not only the consolidation, but also further advancement towards the Block-9 mine (https://t.me/rt_russian/218238) in the sand quarry, with the raising of a flag on one of the buildings.

Apparently, after the Russian troops captured the stronghold at the road intersection, the Ukrainian formations were forced to retreat into the urban development in this area, withdrawing from the Krynychky tract.

🔻Given that the soldier in the video is planting the flag in full height and is not afraid of incoming fire, the nearby territory of the quarry is also likely already cleared. The occupation of the mine area opens up the prospect of breaking through the enemy’s defenses in the Stupochky area, as well as an offensive on the AFU positions directly in the southern part of Chasiv Yar.

At the same time, in the Dovhe-2 tract north of the city, clashes are still ongoing: given the size of the forest massif, the Ukrainian formations will be able to hold their positions there for some time.

The enemy launched 2 counterattacks in the area of the settlement of Zeleny Shlyakh with up to a platoon force supported by 3 tanks. Both attacks were repelled, with up to 18 enemy personnel, 3 tanks, and 1 IFV destroyed. Significant progress is reported in the south of the Sudzha district near the settlement of Plekhovo.
