Congress Majority PAC Expert Shares Novel Strategy For Timely Mid-Term Ads: New On District Insiders

Patrick Reynolds, who formed Congress Majority PAC with a mission of helping fellow civic reformers win congressional races, shares on the next District Insiders podcast his innovative strategies regarding forthcoming U.S. elections.

Reynolds, right, describes why he’s leveraged his years at the forefront of anti-smoking legislation to raise awareness for solutions to climate change, for example, during a time when drought and wildfires loom.

Reynolds, widely known as the anti-smoking crusading grandson of cigarette company founder RJ Reynolds, started Congress Majority PAC in 2018, raising over $1.36 million from over 24,000 donors.

About Patrick Reynolds

Patrick Reynolds’ advocacy work and motivational talks to youth and adults have made him a well-known and respected champion of a smokefree society. He has helped remind many thousands of people of the dangers of smoking. Patrick watched his father, RJ Reynolds, Jr., his oldest brother RJ Reynolds III, and other members of his family die from cigarette-induced emphysema and lung cancer. Concerned about the mounting health evidence, he made the decision to speak out against the industry his family helped build.

He founded Tobaccofree Earth in 1989. Its mission is to motivate youth to stay tobaccofree and to empower smokers to quit successfully. Reynolds saw that having Democrats in the majority in Congress would bring progress not only on tobacco policy, but also on climate change, gun control, abortion, immigration reform, and other issues. Andrew Kreig is non-profit executive, reporter, attorney, strategic consultant and author. After careers in journalism, law and business, he became a founding director of the the Washington, DC-based Justice Integrity Project and serves on the boards of several other business, non-profit and civic groups. 

He began his career as a newspaper reporter for the Hartford Courant in Connecticut and then earned law degrees at Yale and the University of Chicago before serving as law clerk to a U.S. District judge in Boston and working at a national law firm’s office in Washington, DC. He then became vice president and then president/CEO of the Wireless Communications Association before becoming a research fellow at two universities. His most recent book Is “The Complete Annotated Durham ‘Russiagate’ Report: A Corrupt, Cruel Fraud,” which documents Russian interference in U.S. elections and efforts of denial or diversion by politically motivated Justice Department prosecutors.
