Should have seen these earlier.
Still glad the LRT pointed these out, no matter how long it took.

1. The tiniest tested mammal,
Early Palaeocene Zanycteris (Figs 1, 2, AMNH 17180) from Colorado now nest with Late Cretaceous Zalambdalestes from Mongolia.

2. Conoryctes is now a creodont marsupial.
According to Wikipedia, “Conoryctidae is an extinct family of mammals from extinct order Taeniodonta, that lived in North America and Europe from the early Paleocene to early Eocene.” In the LRT Conoryctes nested among the basal hoofed animals, based on its skull alone. New comparisons with the creodont marsupial Pterodon (Fig 2) are informative.

3. Glironia must be missing a canine.
Earlier it appeared the fifth incisor was an incisor-shaped canine because it appeared to arise from the anterior maxilla. It still does (Fig 3). Now, with comparison to a new sister, Dromiciops (Fig 3), five incisors could be present and canines were absent.

Every little correction, like these
(Figs 1–3) serves to bring the mammal subset of the LRT closer to full resolution. It’s not there yet, but perhaps soon.
