North Heath DCNN5426 – The perpetuation of this myth is not accidental.

North Heath is a very small hamlet close to Pulborough in West Sussex. It would be almost completely unknown to the outside world were in not for the fact that it is also home to the 250 hectares of Brimsbury Campus, a part of Chichester College. The campus hosts “a working farm and horticultural and equestrian teaching facilities”. One would also presume it hosts a weather station being highly appropriate to its operations and its current data is profiled above. So what is the site quality like?

Agricultural and horticultural institutions host lots of the Met Offices weather stations throughout the UK and I have reported on most of them. The standards are generally very good to excellent such as at Trawsgoed, Cawood, Wellesbourne, Morpeth and Rothamsted amongst others. Unfortunately there are also quite a few unreliable ones with Hartpury College being a stand out example – if anyone could ever seem to be bothered to actually take the readings. {To add the 2024 readings count to Hartpury, just 160 days readings were taken for the entire year }

So what are the observational standards at North Heath like. It is a time consuming activity analysing a weather station in such microscopic detail so I deliberately cherry picked the worst 5,051 days I could find i.e. just under 14 years. Over this period there were 370 missing days readings (over an entire years worth in sum total) variously spaced throughout the calendar. This makes a readings standard of about 92.5% which, whilst nothing like as bad as some, was not a notably good record compared to those exemplary sites I listed above.

But what of the period I chose not to deliberately cherry pick? …………..There isn’t any.

Readings at North Heath started on the 1st of June 1968 and ended 31st March 1982. Every reading in that headline Wikipedia page is a computer modelled “estimate”. What is more even the 1961 to 1990 period from the same source shown below only had less than half the period derived from sketchy readings, the rest were “computer simulated.”

As noted at Shap in Cumbria the Class 1 and operational sites.

For the long extinct North Heath the increments are claimed to be (rounded to the level of reading accuracy not an absurd 2nd decimal place) 1.2°C for average maximum and 0.7°C for average minimum.

I decided to put it to ChatGPT that, given this site’s closure long ago together with evidence of data being withheld by the Met Office, what its logical conclusion was……..

In my review of Southampton Mayflower Park, I asked readers to appreciate what young adults would assume, or “believe”, from their research of “Climate Change” specific to an area. The same problem is demonstrated at North Heath and many, many other locations. i.e. Look up Wikipedia for a starter, see the link to the Met Office (the “authority” on all climate data) and see how all the “figures” prove the point – no argument. Anyone who rails against all the “evidence” (e.g. like me) is a swivel-eyed loon “denier” or “conspiracy theorist”.

However, IF the same young adults (or even their parents) were allowed to really see research into the subject and the revelation that places like North Heath weather station simply do not exist and have not done so for over 43 years, they would probably start to distrust “The Science”. And then even “Artificial Intelligence” would enlighten them into the “sullen arts” being employed to fool them.

For those willing to view X (Twitter) I strongly recommend this Tom Nelson/Martin Durkin “Gorilla Science” short video on this subject of education. {Warning, one of the aired UK television advertisements included was banned by the Advertising Standards Association.}
