OTL: Do the Ravens Need More Depth at RB?
After a whole lot of drama that was starting to cause some members of the Flock to worry more than a little bit, Lamar Jackson was finally back on the field for a full practice Saturday.
As detailed in our two sets of Camp Notes c/o LifeMed Institute from the day, he eventually looked like himself after shaking off some early rust.
Jackson is scheduled to address the media after practice today, so we’ll get to hear from Lamar himself about how he was feeling last week (though we should assume he’s under orders from the team to be as vague as possible).

We know the QB will be handing off the rock to Derrick Henry more than anyone else, and we can’t wait to see it. But behind Henry, the Ravens still have Justice Hill, and rookie Rasheen Ali, while we all keep our fingers crossed for the eventual healthy return of Keaton Mitchell.
RSR’s Cole Jackson was wondering if they would make a move to bolster that depth.
I expected the #Ravens to bring in a vet as a PS option and to push Ali for the 3rd RB spot.
Would anyone interest you folks?#RavensFlock pic.twitter.com/GwujxabVdf

Of those names, it’s hard to pick one about whom to get excited. Dalvin Cook spent some time in Baltimore last year, but other than one 19-yard run against Houston in the Divisional Round (his other seven carries produced a total of four yards in that game) did nothing but collect dust. Kareem Hunt was a fantasy football mainstay for years due to his red zone usage. He had nine touchdowns last year, but averaged only 3.0 ypc and had just 15 receptions. With Derrick Henry expected to be the RZ beast, plus his history of domestic violence, it’s hard to envision Hunt getting a serious look from EDC.
Latavius Murray played in 14 games (six starts) for the 2021 Ravens, while Melvin Gordon got in three contests for last year’s squad, so perhaps a reunion could be in store for one of them?
Who would you choose?
