OTL: Light at the End of the Tunnel
I’ve been meaning to get back on Netflix for a while, anyway. I’m a big Seinfeld fan.
That was a lot of fun to watch. Lamar Jackson is simply the best quarterback in football. No ifs, ands or buts. The stats back it up, and I will hear no argument against it. Lamar probably deserves his third MVP award.
But maybe he shouldn’t get it… hear me out.
This next bit might be a bit tin foil hat of me, but again, hear me out. I think Lamar has performed better than Josh Allen (and just about everybody else in the league) and Lamar would get my vote for MVP if I were so lucky to have one. However, I think Lamar getting “snubbed” could give the Ravens the last little bit of motivation they need to get over the Lombardi-shaped hump.
Then again, perhaps I’m getting ahead of myself. We won’t know who the MVP is until Super Bowl week, and unless the Ravens get through Kansas City, and probably Buffalo, then this scenario I’ve dreamed up in my head won’t matter. Let’s put a pin in this for now.
Beat Cleveland on ten or 11 days of rest and you win the division. That’s it. You get a home game in January, and potentially two if Buffalo loses their Wild Card Weekend matchup. Unlikely, I know, but crazier things have happened.
Just beat the Browns. The Ravens have been nearly flawless since dropping their first game against Pittsburgh. And they’ve come out of the bye with three straight wins. They’re so, so close to another division title. Just go beat Cleveland.
One more thing before I wrap this up: Diontae Johnson has a really weird hold on this fanbase and, for the life of me, I can’t understand it. This video made things so much worse

Personally, if I were a Texans fan, I would be questioning why my new wide receiver is hugging the QB and running back so jovially after getting curb-stomped on a worldwide broadcast. He wasn’t good enough to crack the gameday roster in Baltimore and he has a bad attitude. That’s all this is, and all it ever will be.
