Chicago Bears HC Ben Johnson sends warning to Caleb Williams about turnovers
It wasn’t pretty, but the Chicago Bears did enough to win on Sunday against an Aaron Rodgers-less Pittsburgh Steelers team.

The Bears improved to 8-3 in kept their lead in the NFC North with a 31-28 win over the Steelers in front of 59,658 fans at Soldier Field.
Chicago had a scary moment when second-year quarterback Caleb Williams fumbled the football in the end zone, which was recovered by Steelers defensive lineman Nate Herbig for a touchdown. Pittsburgh took a 14-7 advantage in the second quarter after the score.
Williams tried to avoid taking a sack, which would have resulted in a safety. He was unable to throw the ball away and gave up an extra five points as a result.

During his postgame news conference, Bears head coach Ben Johnson told the media what he talked to Williams about after the play. Johnson warned Williams not to turn the ball over.
“Just hold on to the ball,” Johnson said. “We know how important these turnovers are. We can’t have them. They’re not okay. So we’re well aware of that. You got it. Turn around here.”
Williams did turn it around. He finished 19-of-35 passing for 239 yards and three touchdowns. He added 21 yards on the ground.
Chicago is skating by against opponents that are forced to use backup quarterbacks. The Bears will face a tougher test on Friday when they travel to play the Philadelphia Eagles.
Chicago will need to play a cleaner game if it wants to beat the defending Super Bowl champs.
