The Chicago Bears see Darnell Wright credited for an excellent season
The Next Gen Stats Analytics Team wrote an article where they named their All-Pro Team. One Bears player was on their list, as right tackle Darnell Wright was given the recognition for the position. Below is what they wrote about why he won the position battle against other big-name right tackles:
“The margin between Wright and Penei Sewell was razor thin, but the work the young Bears tackle did to help transform Chicago’s line from one of the worst in the NFL last season to oen of the best in 2025 was stunning. Wright allowed only one quick pressure in 2025, making him one of just two right tackles (Tristan Wirfs, 2022) to do so among the 237 with 300+ pass blocks in a season since 2018. Also, his 0.3% sack rate allowed was third-lowest at the position.”
Wright had a spectacular third season as he played in 16 games and made sure quarterback Caleb Williams was not dealing with pressure in his face off the edge. With Chicago having to deal with some outstanding edge rushers this season, Wright certainly deserves the recognition as we get ready for a postseason berth. It will be intriguing to see if he can continue his incredible play in the playoffs.
