Chicago Bears All-Pro Darnell Wright gets well-deserved ranking on PFF top 101 NFL players list
One of the reasons the Chicago Bears improved so much in 2025 compared to 2024 was the play of their offensive line. Led by right tackle Darnell Wright, who was named Second Team All-Pro this season, the Bears offensive line allowed just 24 sacks in 2025. This was an immense improvement from the 68 they allowed in 2024.
What made Wright’s personal performance in 2025 so impressive was that he played most of the season with a torn UCL. Despite this ailment, Wright only allowed 19 pressures and three sacks.
Only having completed his third season in the NFL, Wright has established himself as one of the better offensive tackles in the NFL. So much so that PFF has included him on their top 101 NFL players list.

The 10th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Wright has been a mainstay on Chicago’s offensive line ever since his rookie year. In three seasons, he has missed just two games.
His stellar play finally got the recognition it deserved with his All-Pro nod this past year. Additionally, he has come in at number 62 on PFF’s list of the top 101 NFL players:
Wright produced a career-high 80.8 PFF overall grade in 2025 (15th among offensive tackles), powered by an 82.8 PFF run-blocking grade. He also gave up only 24 pressures across 740 pass-blocking snaps.
Indeed, Wright’s run-blocking was vital to the success of Bears’ running backs D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai this season. Swift, who may be a salary cap casualty, enjoyed a career-year running behind Wright and the rest of Chicago’s linemen, putting up a career-high 1,087 rushing yards.
As Wright is entering his fourth NFL season, it seems like a foregone conclusion that the Bears are going to pick up his fifth-year option for 2027.
