Chicago Bears: Simone Biles hints at Jonathan Owens’ lavish decision
Simone Biles appears to have received a special Valentine’s gift from her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, while in Italy. The couple is in Milan to support Team USA athletes competing at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Biles and Owens have long captured fans’ attention with their relationship. They met in 2020 through the dating app Raya and quickly connected. The 28-year-old Olympic gymnast said she knew little about football when they met. Owens admitted he did not fully realize how decorated she was in gymnastics.
The couple bonded during the pandemic and supported each other’s demanding careers. They got engaged in 2022 and married in 2023 in Texas. They often share glimpses of their life together on social media.
Owens has played seven NFL seasons, entering in 2018 as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals. After missing his rookie year due to injury, he also played for the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers.
The 30-year-old safety signed with the Bears in 2024 after spending the 2023 season with the Packers. Owens appeared in all 17 regular-season games for Chicago in 2025. He recorded 19 solo tackles and contributed to the team’s defense throughout the season. His contract ended after the 2025 season, making him a free agent.

While in Milan for the Winter Games, Biles shared a selfie with Owens inside a Bottega Veneta boutique.
“Always spoiling me,” she wrote in the caption of a photo she posted on her Instagram Stories on Sunday.
In a follow-up post, Biles shared an image of a white Bottega Veneta handbag featuring a gold “SBO” monogram. She expressed surprise at the personalized detail, noting it may be unique to the Milan location.
“I never knew Bottega did this, might be a special Milan thing?! But how [expletive] cute?” the seven-time Olympic gold medalist said.

Biles did not reveal whether they purchased it. However, some fans assumed Owens bought the bag as a Valentine’s gift, since he “spoiled” her.
The bag made headlines online, but Owens later experienced a moment that also drew public attention. On Sunday, he posted on X that someone tried to grab a shopping bag he was carrying. He said it was a good thing the bag was looped around his wrist, keeping it safe. He noted the person ran off, and they continued their outing without trouble.
“Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan, force of habit I had it tied around my hand so he couldn’t get it and took off running immediately… but still crazy,” Owens wrote.
With Owens’ football season over, he and Biles are free to focus on the Winter Olympics and explore Milan. The couple remains one of sports’ most talked-about pairs.
