DJ Moore breaks silence Chicago Bears’ season-ending interception
The Chicago Bears‘ final offensive snap of the season is one that won’t soon be forgotten in franchise lore.
With the Bears driving, in overtime, against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Playoff game, quarterback Caleb Williams had the offense on the cusp of field goal range on a frigid Soldier Field Sunday night with a trip to the NFC Championship Game within reach.
Then, Williams was intercepted by Rams defensive back Kamren Curl that effectively ended Chicago’s season as Matthew Stafford drove Los Angeles down the field to set up a game-winning field goal.
Chicago Bears’ DJ Moore needs just one word to describe the interception
Leading up to the Super Bowl, Moore needed just one word to describe what happened on Curl’s interception.
“Miscommunication,” Moore told CHGO.
The day after the game, last month, Williams echoed those sentiments.
“We’ve got to attack it,” Moore said. “The next time we have something like that, and just go from there.”
It remains to be seen whether Moore and Williams will have the chance to bounce back from that season-ending turnover, given that Moore’s name has become the subject of persistent trade rumors as the offseason gets underway, and Chicago potentially looking to clear up cap space by trading the veteran receiver.
But, if Moore is on the Bears’ roster come September 2026, getting on the same page with Williams is going to be imperative in order to put the interception that ended the 2025 campaign behind Chicago once and for all.
