Caitlin Clark makes announcement away from WNBA

Caitlin Clark has captured attention with her standout play for the Indiana Fever and her growing influence off the court. Fans and athletes alike follow her every move, from on-court heroics to off-court appearances that highlight her personality and interests.

Last month, Gatorade teamed up with Clark to promote the return of its popular Rain Berry flavor. In a video ad, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton surprised the WNBA star by delivering an unexpected gift.

Haliburton presented Clark with a bottle of Rain Berry, a fan-favorite flavor that had been discontinued several years ago. Clark reacted immediately: “Rain Berry! Best Gatorade flavor that’s ever been invented right here.”

After tasting the drink, she added, “Even better than I remember. It’s not even close.”

As part of Gatorade’s teaser campaign, Clark shared a photo on Instagram of the limited-edition Rain Berry bottle featuring her image. Days later, the company released a capsule that included the commemorative bottle and a custom towel. Only 2,200 capsules were produced to honor Clark’s No. 22 jersey, and they sold out in just 22 minutes.

WNBA: Caitlin Clark stars in Gatorade’s new Lower Sugar commercial

On Wednesday, Gatorade announced the nationwide launch of its Lower Sugar lineup, including Clark’s favorite Rain Berry flavor. To mark the occasion, the sports drink brand released a commercial featuring the 24-year-old Fever guard.

In the mostly black-and-white video, Clark grabs her Rain Berry drink, takes a sip, and shows off her basketball moves. The Fever star helped announce Gatorade’s new product by sharing the video on her Instagram stories.

According to Gatorade, the new Lower Sugar lineup contains 75% less sugar than Gatorade Thirst Quencher. It has no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors. Alongside Rain Berry, the collection includes Fruit Punch, Lemonade, and Glacier Cherry.

While the commercial highlights her off-court appeal, the two-time All-Star is preparing for a pivotal return to professional basketball. After recovering from several lower-body injuries, she will return to the court this month.

 Clark is also set to make her senior national team debut with USA Basketball at the FIBA World Cup qualifiers in Puerto Rico from March 11 to 17. Her WNBA return with the Indiana Fever, however, remains uncertain due to stalled collective bargaining negotiations.
