Caleb Williams reacts to Chicago Bears announcement
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is thrilled after the team announced a key re-signing on Thursday.
The 24-year-old signal caller needs every weapon available as Chicago enters a season loaded with potential. Williams took the team to new heights in 2025, throwing for a franchise-record 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns.
He led the Bears to an 11-6 record, the NFC North title and their first postseason win since 2010. His overtime strike to DJ Moore against the Packers earned NFL Moment of the Year honors.
With a seasoned veteran back in the fold, Williams is set up to take the next step in 2026.

Case Keenum is back in Chicago. Despite speculation that the 14-year veteran could retire, the 38-year-old agreed to return to the Bears fold under coach Ben Johnson.
Keenum re-signed on a two-year, $5.5 million deal with a max value of $8 million.
The Bears made the announcement on Instagram with a fitting caption: “On the Case for two more years.”
It was accompanied by a video message from Keenum himself.
“Bears fans, what’s up? It’s Case Keenum. I’m back. Let’s go, Bears. Bear down!” he said.

Among those celebrating the news was Williams, who benefited greatly from Keenum’s veteran guidance last season. Williams reposted the announcement on his Instagram Stories, accompanied by two smiling emojis, indicating his excitement.
Keenum originally joined Chicago last season on a one-year, $2.25 million deal, primarily to provide leadership for the team’s young quarterback room. He competed with Tyson Bagent for the backup role but ultimately settled in as the third-string quarterback.
Chicago’s young core stands to benefit once again from the veteran’s steady presence. With Keenum back in the building, the Bears enter 2026 as one of the best-guided teams in the league.
