The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a massive challenge in the Elite 8 as they take on the UConn Huskies. Hidalgo almost reached that mark in the Sweet 16 against the Vanderbilt Commodores. In that game, she recorded 31 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, 10 steals, and one block. UConn has some incredible players on it and is a rivalry game. They actually played in the regular season at Storrs, where she was held to 16 points.
This game, besides being for a trip to the Final Four, is going to be significant. It will be intriguing to see if this game is closer than the 38-point loss for the Fighting Irish when they met in the regular season.
