Chicago Bears urged to make move on 3-time Pro Bowl DT amid team dispute
The Chicago Bears had an up-and-down season on the defensive end in 2025. They led the entire NFL in takeaways with 33. However, they ranked 29th overall in total yards allowed per game with 6,150.
Despite their defensive deficiencies, Chicago still had a memorable campaign. They secured the NFC North title with an 11-6 record. The Bears also secured their first playoff win in 15 years by defeating their bitter rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in the Wild Card Round.
Chicago will now want to carry over that momentum to 2026. Ryan Poles and the front office have been busy retooling their roster ahead of the new season. However, more moves could be on the horizon in the coming weeks.
The Bears have already made a handful of defensive free-agent signings during the offseason. Safety Coby Bryant, linebacker Devin Bush and defensive tackle Neville Gallimore are some of the standout additions.
Chicago Bears want Dexter Lawrence
Bears fans are now eyeing another potential recruit. Supporters are now urging the organization to jump on the Dexter Lawrence sweepstakes following his reported dispute with the New York Giants.
According to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lawrence has demanded a trade away from the Giants after failing to negotiate a contract extension. Bears fans are adamant that Poles and Co. should not let this opportunity pass.

Lawrence is entering the third year of his four-year, $90 million contract with the Giants. The three-time Pro Bowler has established himself as one of the best DTs in the game today. This only means that the Bears will need to give up a lot in any potential trade with the Giants.
