Bleacher Report’s Joel Reuter wrote a power rankings following the first full week of MLB action. The White Sox went from the 30th spot to now being 21st after a 4-2 week.
Below is what they wrote regarding the White Sox’s rankings:
“Rebuilding is all about incremental progress. It took until July 20 for the White Sox to complete their first three-game sweep of the 2025 season, and they didn’t pick up their fourth win until their 14th game of the year, so Sunday marked two positive steps in the right direction.”
Chicago also climbs from the sixth tier to fifth. Below is the fifth tier of teams from Bleacher Report in the order Reuter placed them:
- Kansas City Royals
- Chicago White Sox
- Texas Rangers
- Athletics
- Colorado Rockies
Chicago has a three-game home series against the Baltimore Orioles and then a four-game road series against the Kansas City Royals this upcoming week. With the team building some momentum in the early stages of the season, they can continue climbing the rankings.
Chicago ranks fifth in the majors entering Monday’s games with a .837 team OPS with runners in scoring position. It will be intriguing to see if they can continue climbing the power rankings.
