Caleb Wilson vows to bring Chicago Bulls back if drafted by franchise
The 2026 NBA Draft is a few weeks away as teams begin their final preparations for the big event. For the Chicago Bulls, they hold pick No. 4 which guarantees them one of the top four prospects if they stay put.
Right now, the consensus is that they will take North Carolina’s Caleb Wilson at No. 4 depending on what the Memphis Grizzlies do at No. 3. There’s also the chance the Utah Jazz make a surprising pick at No. 2 which would push either Darryn Peterson or Cameron Boozer back to the Bulls.
But if it is Wilson, his confidence is sky high and he knows what he can bring to the franchise.

Wilson oozes confidence and that was the case right when he got to North Carolina for his first season. Now, he’s showing that confidence in the pre-draft process, with the latest being an answer about what he can do for the Bulls if selected No. 4 overall.
During a segment on SportsCenter’s pre-game show for Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Wilson was asked by Chicago native Iman Shumpert how he feels like he could step in and help going to a situation like that. Wilson’s answer? He wants to bring them back to the glory days.
“I’m a winner. I’m going to change that culture and bring it back to what it was, for sure,” Wilson said. “It’s a great pipeline, North Carolina to Chicago.”

The Bulls have really struggled for the past decade, having not won a playoff series since the 2014-2015 season. It’s a big reason why they are undergoing a new rebuild.
But this time, the Bulls have the chance to land one of the top players in this draft.
Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game at North Carolina. He set the tempo for the Tar Heels and when he kissed significant time towards the end of the year, it was clear the Tar Heels missed him.
If Wilson is the pick, let’s hope he can find success in the Windy City.
