Next on the list are Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza and new Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett. New England Patriots passer Drake Maye and Buffalo Bills signal-caller Josh Allen round out the top five.

Williams produced some highlight-reel-worthy plays in 2025 and orchestrated multiple comeback wins for Chicago. EA Sports named him the cover athlete for Madden 27, featuring his Superman pass in the graphics.
Chicago filled some positional needs this offseason. It added Coby Bryant and drafted Dillon Thieneman at No. 25 to bolster the safety position. The team acquired center Garrett Bradbury from New England to give Williams added protection, while signing Devin Bush to bolster the defensive line.
Next season will be a big test for Williams and Co. Another strong campaign will cement their place as a team of the future. They could also surprise many if they can show that they are serious Super Bowl contenders as early as 2026.
