Angel Reese had no words over big Atlanta Dream news
Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream are on a hot streak. The team has won four consecutive games, while the star forward recently made history and earned WNBA Player of the Week honors. However, the front office still made a move to further strengthen the roster, which she appeared to be excited about.
Reese is averaging 20.8 points,15.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals during the streak. She also set the record for most rebounds in a game and most in a single campaign in league history. The three-time All-Star is peaking at the right time with only six games left on Atlanta’s regular-season schedule and the team already secured of a playoff spot.
Reese and Co. will return to action on Friday to take on the Portland Fire at Gateway Center Arena. They are battling for a top three seed with the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever. They received a big boost on Wednesday.
Angel Reese reposts the Dream’s announcement on her Instagram story
The Dream signed veteran forward DeWanna Bonner on Wednesday. Her addition gives them another capable player who could contribute immediately. She has championship experience, chasing her third ring in what many believe is her last season before retiring. The team announced the news on Instagram and Reese reposted it on her story without a caption.

Bonner and the Phoenix Mercury agreed to part ways to give her another chance of winning a title. She is averaging 10.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists this season through 37 games. However, the Mercury have been eliminated from playoff contention with a 13-25 record and 12th in the standings.
Reese will benefit from a veteran teammate who could impart valuable learnings to her. Bonner will also further bolster the frontcourt as the Dream battle to win the championship this year.
