‘I might have cheated’: Fever star Caitlin Clark makes unexpected admission
Caitlin Clark is dealing with a back issue, and the Indiana Fever coaching staff continues to monitor her minutes. The All-Star break and the three-day gap between her team’s last two games provided her with extra rest. She made the most of it by relaxing and having a cheat day.
The superstar guard is at the top of her game this season. She is averaging a career-high 21.5 points on a career-low 29.7 minutes per game. Clark earned her third All-Star nod this year and has secured a spot on Team USA’s 2026 FIBA World Cup roster. Clark and the Fever hosted the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday. The 24-year-old finished with 20 points, three rebounds and eight assists, but it wasn’t enough to lead her team to victory.
Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 28 points, while Aliyah Boston produced 21 points and 12 rebounds. The Aces’ attack was spearheaded by A’ja Wilson’s 26 points and 13 rebounds; however, Jackie Young emerged as their hero of the night. She forced overtime and knocked down the game-winning triple at the buzzer for an 86-84 win. The veteran guard recorded 11 points, two rebounds and seven assists.

Caitlin Clark provides unexpected update
Clark addressed the media ahead of the Las Vegas game. She talked about her week and updated reporters on how she spent the past few days, including an unexpected admission.
“My week’s been good.,” Clark said. “It’s been nice to have a little bit of rest and get back home. I feel like we’ve kind of been busy on the road, obviously, with All-Star and then going right into a three-game swing. I think this is a great opportunity for us. Obviously, it’s been cool Jason (Sudeikis) wore my shoes at the premiere. It’s pretty fun. I watched the first episode of the show. It’s really good. So I highly recommend.
“On National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, I actually had a S’mores chocolate chip cookie. So I guess I might have cheated a little bit, but the extra marshmallow was good.”
let’s keep it rolling

The Iowa product had a chance to secure the win on Thursday but missed two free throws, giving Young the opportunity to send the game into overtime. Clark and Co. will look to bounce back and snap their two-game skid on Saturday against the Chicago Sky.
