Migraine Ends & Pantry Clean-out

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

My migraine ended after a record-breaking (for me) TEN days! My previous record was four days, and that was bad enough. Now I am able to look at light without wincing in pain, which is nice, not to mention the end of the nausea. That just… undid me for a week and a half.

Now it’s like I’m rising out of a body of water and shaking it all off and looking around to see what I missed. Not too much, luckily!

I had a good talk with my friend Natalie in Texas, who deals with many of the same issues I do, both health-wise and paranormal-wise, and she talked about a couple of medications that worked for migraines that she had, so I took note. I see the doctor again in a couple of weeks, so I’ll bring up getting help. Something–! I mean, I can’t just lose days and days to hiding in darkness like I did for a YEAR. I mentioned it to my own doctor several times when my own migraines got bad and she didn’t even bring up medication to treat the migraines, which is vexing. There’s medications for that? Like– really? Can I have some, please!? I’m seeing another doctor (since mine is booked up) this next time, so it might be a chance to get another perspective on this issue.

Meanwhile, this weekend we’ve finally tackled the out-of-control moth problem in the pantry. Cat bitches about not doing it, but I know she’ll bitch about doing it because she didn’t get to play instead. (Like, WAH, bitch!) Mike jumped in as well, and we got everything out of the panty, found where the infestation was coming from (old bag of rice we got before the pandemic) and chucked that as well as several other things, then wiped everything down with bleach water and slowly put it back. Cat is re-organizing the panty while she’s at it, and I’m fine with that! I was the original organizer, but it was just supposed to be temporary until she got around to it. (90% of all the food in the pantry is hers, just like 90% of all the food in the freezers is hers, and 70% of what’s in the upstairs fridge– so yeah, she has WAY too much food, and yet has “nothing to eat”.)

We planned this pantry clean-out a month in advance because Cat didn’t want to do it. It’s not THAT hard, but she makes everything ten times more complicated than it needs to be. Once done, it looks great, of course, but in the meantime, it can be a nightmare dealing with her. Luckily, this time she was less fussy (still fussy, just less so) and we managed to tackle this project together as a team. I get caught between Mike and his slap-dash “easy” fixes and Cat’s over-the-top need for perfection. I was happy that we managed to pull it together this once! Like I said, not a fun project, but needed.
