AL QUDS DAY
Al-Quds Day (“Jerusalem Day”), March 13, 2026 in Times Square, is an annual event held by Falestinians on the last Friday of Ramadan established by Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979 to express solidarity with Falestine and to show support for Iran’s Islamic Regime .
Al-Quds (القدس, “The Holy”) is the Arabic name for Jerusalem.
Organized by the local Socialist/ Marxist orgs the anti -Israel/ anti USA speakers declared their support for Hamas, Hezbollah, and the IRGC, (the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps)
They claim Jerusalem belongs to the Muslims (and the Falestinians) but they also condemn the USA (Empire) and support the Islamist Republic of Iran.
A peaceful resolution in the Holy Land doesn’t sell papers so the MEDIA devours their propaganda like candy,
The Al Quds Day protest included:
- Protesters displayed flags associated with Lebanese Hezbollah and images of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
- The event was part of nationwide demonstrations, with involvement from groups such as the Workers World Party and the ANSWER Coalition.
- Counter-protesters also appeared, leading to high tensions, and the event was monitored by police due to its controversial nature.
- Global Context: This was part of international Al-Quds Day (International Jerusalem Day).

Part 3 -The rally was mainly organized by prominent anti-Israel groups such as Pal-Awda, the Bronx Anti-War Coalition and the Workers World Party.
