Did the Messiah (Antichrist) Just Appear on the World Stage? – The Bible has Foretold What is Happening Right Now.

Jesus Christ gave clear warnings in the Bible that many would come in the last days, claiming to be Christ, and they would deceive many. Today, we are watching this prophecy come to life right before our eyes. From Israel to the United States, from Islamic circles to fringe spiritual groups, self-proclaimed messiahs are stepping forward—some with charisma, others with claims of supernatural authority, and all with one thing in common: they are not who they say they are.

Let’s look at three of the most prominent individuals today who are claiming to be the Messiah and how their declarations measure up against the truth of the King James Bible.

1. Abdullah Hashem (Aba al-Sadiq) – United States

Abdullah Hashem, leader of the “Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light,” claims to be a successor to Jesus, Muhammad, and the true pope—all rolled into one. He has declared himself to be the awaited Mahdi, a messianic figure in Islam, and even made efforts to gain legal recognition for his spiritual authority.

But the Bible gives us a clear warning:

“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
– Matthew 24:5 (KJV)

Hashem’s claims cross multiple religious boundaries, which only adds to the deception. In a time of global confusion and spiritual hunger, many are falling for a “unifying messiah” that sounds appealing but leads people away from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2. Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi – Pakistan (Posthumous Influence)

Though Gohar Shahi died (or disappeared) in the early 2000s, his followers still claim he is the Messiah, the Mahdi, and even the divine presence. His image is said to appear on the Moon, rocks, and sacred relics—a supernatural sign, according to his devotees.

This brings to mind another end-time warning:

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
– Matthew 24:24 (KJV)

Whether real or doctored, these so-called “signs in the heavens” are the exact type of deception Jesus warned about. Miraculous appearances don’t validate a man—they test the hearts of those who chase after signs instead of Scripture.

3. Avraham Haim Zagdun – Israel

Zagdun leads a small messianic group in Israel and claims to be the Jewish Messiah. While not as globally known, his movement reflects a larger phenomenon in Israel—religious excitement over the coming of a messiah. Many devout Jews believe the Messiah is alive today, and some believe they know who he is.

But we must remember the clear testimony of Scripture:

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him…”
– Revelation 1:7 (KJV)

“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
– Hebrews 9:28 (KJV)

The true Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return not in secret, not in a small cult, and not needing approval from earthly courts—He will come with power and glory, seen by the whole world. Any man claiming to be the Messiah before that event is a false Christ.

Why It Matters

We are living in the last days. People are desperate for answers, for peace, and for hope. False messiahs are stepping into that vacuum, promising salvation, unity, or supernatural power. But the Bible has already told us what to expect—and who to look for.

“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.”
– Matthew 24:23 (KJV)

Don’t be fooled. The only true Messiah is Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, rose again, and will return in glory. The world will try to present counterfeits, but the Bible is our guide. Cling to the Word, not to wonders.

For followers of Christ, we are very aware that the False Christ, (Antichrist), will be revealed very soon. Sadly, many will see this person as the “Promised Messiah” that is to come in the last days. He will fulfill what many are looking for, being either their interpretation of the coming messiah, or the anticipated arrival of the antichrist. He will indeed be a figure who will be very noticeable when he arrives.

The coming of Jesus Christ will be evident, as He will descend from the clouds. However, this should not be your only clue to His arrival. With modern advancement this even in itself could certainly be duplicated. Have you heard of Project Blue Beam?

Project Blue Beam is a theory that suggests governments or global elites plan to use advanced technology—like holograms, satellites, and mind control—to simulate a second coming or alien invasion in order to establish a one-world religion and government. One of its most talked-about claims involves the use of 3D holographic projections to make it appear as though a divine figure, such as Jesus, is descending from the clouds. These projections, supposedly powered by satellites and lasers, could be so realistic that people would believe they are witnessing a supernatural event, fulfilling prophecy and manipulating mass belief.

With all of this deception, let me once again remind you that you possess the KEY in recognizing deception. Take any even that you are unsure of, and present it to God in prayer, asking for conformation if it is indeed true or not. Then listen.

God often answers prayers not with loud voices or dramatic signs, but through quiet, sacred feelings that touch the heart. These feelings may come as peace in the middle of confusion, comfort in sorrow, or a sudden sense of clarity when facing a hard choice. His Spirit whispers truth, gently confirming that He hears and loves us. Sometimes, it’s a warm feeling, a thought that won’t leave, or an overwhelming sense of love—each a quiet but powerful answer from our Heavenly Father.

This is how we can know for ourselves what spiritual, or religious things are true or not. It’s spirit touching spirit. I am so very grateful for such a priceless gift.
